During the installation, if you don't set the root account password, the installer will lock the rock account and automatically give the unprivileged user account sudo access. No need to take your sudo steps in the video after installation. If you still want to login to the root account directly, just run "sudo passwd" to unlock root. Debian has had this default setup for many releases.
sorry i really couldn't find a solution to the problem that occures while installation: when i try graphical installation, it says cannot open display: :0; and when i try text instalation it flashes with some text for a sec and then screen just goes grey
Help , every time i try open up a new Debian machine , it just installs the whole thing without any input from me , and it defaults to Gnome which i absolutely HATE... how to make it stop from installing everything automatically and actually let me use the manual installer?
@@kskroyaltech Found the problem, it wasnt the ISO it was that i needed to tick the "skip unnatended installation" box back when still setting up the virtual machine
Thank for your informative video . But I have a question watch is better installing directly into a Windows laptop or using a VM as you did in this video?
I followed your instructions exactly, but when I ran the "sudo apt install linux-headers-$(uname -r)" I got two errors. "Unable to locate package linux-headers-6.1.0-18-amd64" "Couldn't find any package by glob 'linux-headers-6.1.0-18-amd64'"
after i downloaded debian, it just shows me "Invalid DMI field header" edit: i just needed to wait a little bit, now it works fine, but when i try to add me to the sudoers i can't, i save it and then click ctrl+X to exit and it does nothing, please tell me what do i need to do to make it work good
insider terminal, First Login as Root user by typing SU and it will prompt for a root password you set during the installation. Then you will see a root prompt; then run nano /etc/sudoers and add the below line: *USERNAME ALL=(ALL:ALL) ALL* save the changes by pressing CTRL + X and press Y.
The virtual machine failed to boot. That might be caused by a missing operating system or misconfigured boot order. Mounting an operating system install DVD might solve this problem. Selecting an ISO file will attempt to mount it after the dialog is closed. Any idea on how to fix this?
Bro you said you want to use virtual machine in Full Screen Mode right. use the virtual Box menu bar to jump or Hold RIGHT SIDE CTRL + F keys on the keyboard
