What a lovely piece! I agree with the other commenter who said it's nice to hear some Pachelbel that isn't Canon in D. The more I hear of Pachelbel, though, the more I think I'd listen again to your Corelli pieces instead. Even so, this one is beautiful!

Love the new post. I often listen to your playlists and reference your recordings when I’m learning a new piece that you’ve played. You’re touch is lovely; and the sounds you use, gorgeous. You help me understand how to play the pieces with musical intelligence. Thanks!

The full impact of the piece is lost when eliminating half the variations - the piece builds to a tremendous climax and then slowly fades into some extraordinary variations before the reprise.

Beautiful . ....but still my favorite version is from Pro Arte Munich with Strings Only.....

+Mirabc1 Mira I definitely agree, although this a nice piano version, even more relaxing. The strings version tends to be quite emotionally intense == alternating between "tenebrous" and "resurrectional" entities. I have the record x 2, but am looking for a "clear" digital version....
Furthermore, it is a pity that the group director's name (Kurt Redel) is not mentionned more often as far as Pachelbel's works are concerned...
The trills and rubato are exquisite and more relaxing in this interpretation than in most I have heard.....

It would be great and very helpful if you filmed your hands from above, so that it's possible to see what they are doing...and thus learning to play this music (for the ones like me that are not able to read pentagrams).

Thuras Sestriere I have never in my life heard anyone refer to staff notation as 'pentagrams'.

@@pasijutaulietuviuesas9174 I think his native lenguage is not english. In spanish at least we say "pentagrama".

Dude, is quite easier to learn to read staff notation. And this is a relativly easy piece (The problem is that it is written on a weird key, so).

Shit whats wrong with the colour of your hands they are blue? Looks cold, try playing faster (as the piece should be played) and they should warm up. Otherwise I did not know a smurf could play the piano.
