Why are we drafting a young guy who RIGHT NOW has the talent to get on the ice and contribute immediately, why can't we put him on the ice. Forget Boston College and get him on the ice to help ovi and the rest of the team

Clearly player development isn’t important to you

@@Capitalsforlife Ryan Leonard is on par with Andam Fantilli for Columbus Blue Jackets and Connor Bedard for Chicago. All the while the capitals are aging , slow and while there in 4th place in the metro it's because of the younger players like Dylan Strome, Connor McMichael and Sonny Milano carrying the team. An aging T.J. oshie is playing his worst hockey and is great in the bumper position on the power play but our power play is dead last right now. He is my favorite player and even I have to say it, he's not playing worth his contract. He's the best person you would want on your team as a locker room guy but when he go's down again let's give Leonard a jersey for a few games. His ladt 5 games he's got 5 games 5 goals and 1 assist. His last 10 games played he's got 8 goals and 4 assists. Ovi can't carry the Puck over the blue line without losing it anymore, kuzey is a shell of his former self, oshi is in his twilight. Mantha has been a pleasant surprise. Let's adjust a line or two, get ovi some speed to set things up not only on the power play but 5 on 5 and work a cycle for a few shifts. He's clearly not going to play for the capitals this season but why couldn't he be a Bedard or Fantilli?

@@hockeyguy2005 oh I would love to see him come up for a couple games but don’t want to rush him in the lineup for good

He needs his development still plus he decided to go back to college no one told him to

Perhaps he wants to get a degree as well so he can do something meaningful after his hockey career is over. Life isn’t just about sports.
