I feel like comps like Punk Reroll and EDM Lux are just way to preserve HP early and build winstreak gold and then transition out of those comps. They'd usually be bad to go for, but if the game gives you them, they can be a good way to preserve HP and build early winstreak. Really good if you hit blank slate, but otherwise just a way to mitigate a bad situation.
@@theonewhoknocks203 Sure if everything lines up perfectly. What I've seen is usually people get lux 3 in time to spike hard midgame, but it was too little too late and they aren't able to stabilize against other strats that just outpace, especially with good positioning.
@@triplea657aaa big reason is that Lux wants gloves but kind of does not want JG... so it's bad for other item holder. no good cheap unit can hold Zed's item, maybe Evelyn, but fall off pretty fast, so u have hard time mid game normally. and finding headliner Lux could cost a fortune... but it can win game, i did win a lot actually, with good enough items it can beat fast 9 comp. good thing is no one compete you lol. i find the best scenario you could play, even force EDM is Scuttle Puddle portal, where everyone fast 9 so they're pretty weak mid game, also we have lots of gold for rolling.
Punk is very underrated. It can be quite strong, but you have to go triple combat augments and get an extremely good start and you're likely playing for 2nd or 3rd if you can't make 6 Punk.

i think senna reroll is better than it's given credit for. She consistently deals more than 10k dmg with 6 trudmg and akali and qiyana are great with good items, but you mainly focus on having a good frontline though.
It might be better to call bruisers "reapers" (like in the in-game tooltip) so that people don't have to guess whether you mean bruiser-trait units or melee carries
Serious question: Did I ever say bruisers in the context of a "melee carry" in this entire video? I don't think I've ever called a melee carry a "bruiser". 13:57 i dont think that the right way to do the explorer. people only 3 itemize viego when they already have 3 items akali and karthus, so of course 3 items viego cap very high and have high avg as well. I didn't test the comp yet, but yeah
I think it just means we need to get way more item augments and prioritize items, coz having the 3-item Viego makes it much better as a 3-carry comp. From my anecdotal experience as well, Akali and Karthus have a hard time cleaning up without Viego's damage early
I understand your reasoning, but I'm basing this on experience too. Viego is much stronger to itemize than Karthus imo, and probably tied to better than Akali. Truth is you just want them all itemized anyway and you usually just end up itemizing them in the order you hit 2* versions
In my experience, Viego has been feeling great and, if you have the right items, will be much better than Karthus as your first 3 item carrier. In my experience, I never really take away the superfan item from viego and just slam EoN and BT
definitely played a game with Viego on day 1 of the new patch and he was very strong. hes definitely a beast now. even if you dont high roll its basically a free top 4 comp. I love that he's viable too because if you get items like hoj/titans/steraks/BT early you can actually slam them.
hey blue, great comp tier list, was wondering if you could timestamp the different comps showed here on the video? I tend to go back to check on the comps during the game would make it easier to scroll through the video to different comps.
Check the pinned comment / description for timestamps. RUclips deletes my chapters after the first 6 hours and then returns them after a few days. I've contacted them 3 times over the past 2 months and they keep telling me they don't know why it's happening and tough luck lol. I'll try and figure out what in their system is automatically deleting them / reinstating them over next few uploads.
Fight a Corki 8bit reroll yesterday, the board is legit if you can 3* garen along with corki for frontline, late game secondary carry cait and even ezreal if you have a lot of items. Play 4 sentinel frontline, 8 bit headliner. Need to hit corki fast to stabilize tho
So, while trying out Viego Akali I quickly realized... 3 Superfan Headliner Viego, the Superfan gives you Titans 😂 I think there's a way around this by getting rid of SF, add the 3 items, then add the 3rd SF back each round. Just feels tedious. After each round, your items pop off cuz or SF though
If you get headliner viego, just put EON and omnivamp on him, then itemize akali and karthus. Don't try to juggle items with superfan. Eventually you're going to mess something up and lose because of it
As the commenter above has said, it's just a way to show more items. The website I use (tactics.tools) only allows 3 items on a champion, as you might expect. Remove the Viego from the board and that's your standard 7 unit shell at which point you add Yorick / other units I mentioned.
I've been capping my level9 boards around Qiyanna and Kayne since those units always are free to hit. Having more success with it than bleeding out with a 1 star Sona and my Chosen Ziggs while desperately rolling for 2 stars. Board I've been going for is: 5 cost: Kayne, Qiyanna, Yorick, Illaoi 4 cost: Akali, Viego, Karthus 3 cost: Yone, Sett Comp feels really strong, especially since alot of units on this board just got buffed. Might be better to try and fit Sona in if you have a bunch of Guinsoos and a Shojin instead of Karthus.
17:45 there's no way you're ever going to consistently hit a board with 3 different 4 costs and a 4 cost headliner on 7, so are you just saying, IF you manage to find the units, play them like this, and then go 8 and roll?
3* yone is stronger than 2* zed. So no. Yone crowdiver is stronger, so there's no reason to play Zed chosen over him. If you think you have enough gold and health, and maybe a golden neeko to hit 3* zed, then obviously that's even better, but that's not gonna happen 99/100 times
So can items and champs. It's much more cohesive to just go over the entire comp, because he tells you which champs and items are good with those comps. This is a non-complaint
Man. as a master player i know comps for sure. The thing is that some synergies are less important than chams especially in early and late game. Knowing that allows you to play strongest board every round. For example ksante 2 is stronger than 2 bruisers in this patch, so you dont prio playing around tahm kench early even if you are aimed at strong samira reroll comp. I didn't like Punk to begin with, fighting it or playing it, but if it's going to be a thing maybe you should get some sort of bonus for 3 starring maybe 3 of the punk units. Maybe they all get headliner, or they all get 10%dmg and DR. If the cieling is as sad as it is then they're going to have to reward you for staying lvl 6/7 for shitty units.
Fast 9 with 2 backline is just asking death by akali and karthus, the best way to play is fill out those back line and 3-4 frontline (4 ideally) I kinda hate jhin because everytime he does nothing, forces me to sell bench for his rifles, its really just nuisance
Got murdered by a 3* cait last night. She did 20k damage and I just barely couldn't keep up. I feel like she isn't that good at 2* when you're capping out though.
Yeah personally I still think she's really weak. Even as a 3* she isn't a guaranteed win. Last patch she was unplayable, this patch she's potential top 4 but still not good enough to compete with the other 4 costs
@@joefoulger3510 3* 4 cost should not be guaranteed wins... only 3* 5 costs should be guaranteed wins. She is very strong and when itemized correctly 3* cait pretty much always gets 1st/2nd.

The only comp she's even used in is putting her on the board for fast 9 to give Lucian the rapidfire trait lmfao. He literally said it in this video. She's still the worst 4 cost this patch
Doesn't look like it, at least right now, with the exception of 8-bit Viego which is performing really well in the stats along with possibly Caitlyn fast 9 board (although that's really not 8-bit). Maybe a comp will develop that is good, but it sucks according to both stats and my anecdotal experience of playing and studying high level games.

Anything that requires a spat to play is not meta. It's good, but you're only going to hit it maybe 1 out of every 50 games, so planning on playing it is just a really bad strategy

i test it at master avg 3 times in a row, two of them top 2 and one top 3(it would be top 1 if not the heartsteel moment in every game)

Fast 9 is like Disco dazzler, you can drop Taric for Illaoi or Gragas for Yorick, TF/Lulu/Lux for Ziggs, or add Qiana for true dmg combo / sona

Been playing pentakill edgelord have had 3 items on viego each game bis he gets rekt in 2 seconds
I personally think Riven reroll is pretty strong. You don't have to roll for Yone just level up after.
