I have a question! Was thinking about picking up a DE safety razor and was wondering can I just use regular shave gel from a canister and rub it in with my fingers? Or do I need real shaving soap and a brush? And also can i get away with just one pass. Great vid, thanks

Yes, some shaving soaps are better but there’s nothing wrong with a canister shaving cream, also nothing wrong with using hands, it’s just way easier to mix and apply the soap. Don’t know what you mean with one pass.

@@Pugrug. thanks for the response, I just mean when I see people shave with a DE razor they usually do 3 passes to get it baby smooth, like reapply shave soap after the first pass and go at it again, I'm used to a mach 3 which doesnt require multiple passes.
