This played during such an epic scene. Takumi was driving up Akina for his first battle in the show and Keisuke and everyone was suspensefully waiting to see what car shows up and who's driving it.
This is something later seasons of the show really botched. The use of the soundtrack in s1 was just so good. It almost always had impact while by stage 4 is was just kind of part of the background you weren't really supposed to pay attention to.
@@pchris yeah the first stage the music complimented the events going on, I mean don’t get me wrong I love the eurobeat either way but it really doesn’t hit as hard in the later stages

no matter how many times I rewatch the scene of takumi showing up after everyone believed all hope was lost, I still get super hyped and chills on my body, first stage is the best

Let's face it : dialogs were really good back in the days. The fact that the text was so sharp and coherent brought a kind of 3rd dimension to the show : psychological one. So much easier to put yourself in the shoes of the main characters and know what kind of thoughts they had at a given moment. Also, it made you conceptualise some psychological aspects of the scenes/situations which were not clearly said or shown.

despite the weak animation and the wonky artwork, Inital D s1 is still the best out of all the series. Just amazing.
I love that type of animation. Crisp animation doesnt have the same vibes.

The melody was stuck in my head for like 5 months without knowing what song it was from. Later I was singing the text in my head without realizing anything, when the melody part came everything snapped together. If you found a song after a long time of searching you know what I mean.

+HellFreeZ3r Very. Expensive. Mostly buying and importing costs are ridiculous. For a good one you must pay in europe at least 10 000 dollars. Parts are rare and because of it not cheap - of course ae86 is very reliable car, but u have no guarantee that even pricey one wasn't abused. 99% of em were, cause this car is so rare now, that good ones are kept closed in garage by collectors. I hate bmw, so I was really into japanese rwd cars. They were so expensive to buy, import and maintain (because of big lack of parts on the market - I had to import em and wait too damn long) that I mastered front wheel drive cars. Now I have alfa romeo 147 GTA 3.2 v6 280 bhp after some mods and can make with it much more expensive and powerful cars on track. It sounds like an excuse but well balanced fwd is as fast as rwd, and of course a bit less fun.

@Hendrik498 Understood...but I think it's not necessary to be like that as always because when you write "Mako Sato", it's still same as "Sato Mako" but change order. If you think Japanese name should write like this, try search Japanese name or maybe famous Japanese person (type it in romaji form), you'll see that the Japanese names are start with "Name-Surname"(only in romaji form) that'll make it easy to understand but if it's in the Kanji form, it should write "Surname-Name".
