My favorite book of 2023 was The Honeys by Ryan La Sala. I liked Happy Place a lot. It didn't quite make it to my favorite books of the year because of two other romances I read during the same time period that I liked a little more. They were All The Bright Places by Jennifer Niven and Seven Days in June by Tia Williams
Those are both on my tbr, I’ll look into the Honeys!!!! : )
If you want a romance book where the main characters are stuck on motorized vehicles together and have crazy things happening around them, try The Prince and the Apocalypse by Kara McDowell. I'm itching for the sequel to come out this summer. And I'm not normally into YA anymore. I'll have to try Mrs. Nash's Ashes, so I'm putting it on my Libby list now.

I feel this with sooo many other books on my tbr HAHA. we tend to read books at the right time, so there’s no rush!!! It’ll always be there ready for u to read : ))
I feel like all the books I read in 2023 were my faves except ‘A pumpkin and a patch’ by Jennifer steel. That one was a 3.5. Everything else was like 4.4 and higher!

Out of everything you mentioned, I am most inclined to look into the Poppy War trilogy written by R.F. Kuang. She is really doing well right now with the noteworthy books she is releasing and she is only in her 20s! It is remarkable what she has accomplished! I read Every Last Lie by Mary Kubica when I won it in a giveaway as it was hitting the markets. I was not a huge fan and Goodreads did not seem to be as fond of the book either. Hopefully her writing has since improved. I own Dark Matter by Blake Crouch, but really need to get to reading it. Romance is not a genre that I gravitate toward, but I know Emily Henry's name from how often she has floated around. Thank you for sharing and I hope you have a great reading year in 2024! -Josh
