- Tramontina machete modifications that I start as a project over the Christmas holidays. This is my progress so far. Well pleased with the results. Still got a few adjustments to do but, getting there slowly but surely. The tramontina machete along with a good mora knife are all I really need when out in the woods. It’s a great combination and also very cheap into the bargain and this combination is well within most people budgets.
That is very impressive. You basically created a true ONE TOOL option! Best most thoughtful mods I have seen to. The handle as well - who would have thought? Great Job!
Cheers 👍👍
very cool man, i like the versatility of the tip
It works a treat. Try it out
Tramontinas are great. Nice useful mods
On of my all time favourite blades
Surprising what intelligence and skill can make out of a cheap machete . I have subscribed
Over 60 years UKS Rocky mountains, desert SW, and Virginia woodland... and central Texas... this is the best I've seen, and the least expensive. Carry on! PS I am prejudiced favorably by your accent!
lol 🏴😂glad you liked the video bud👍👍
I'm impressed, well done.
Cheers pal 👍🔪🏴
Great Job. Very good ideas. 👍
This machete is a legend!
Definitely m8. Worth its weight in gold
Great video, thanks! But I created a lanyard hole into my machete.
And I did buy a second machete, and I transformed it (with size reduction) a big buschcraft knife (a bit bowie-like).
Its amazing what you can do with a tramontina to transform it from a barebones machete to something unique.
How true. Fantastic blade that does it all with a few mods done to it
Here in Brazil a tramontina machete can be found for only 25 reais that should give you about 5 dollars, that is to say an excellent price for a great performance, I loved the video congratulations
That’s a bargain for such a versatile tool. ATB from 🏴👍🔪
Do you know a company that would ship machetes to europe? I would like to order some.
I would try Hennie.Com. I think they ship world wide m8. Let me know if you have any trouble getting your machete
well done..very nicely thought out...i will do some of the same..thank you for the video
👍 thanks for supporting the channel. Let me know how you get on.
Well done
hi did you do anything to get the patina going?, it looks well used, thanks
Just through hard use
looks good, just ordered one to replace my martindale. I am a self employed gardener and needed something to make slashing cuts on bushes, love what you did with the fire steel notch, think I will do that to mine. did you form the sheath in the oven?, I think I will need to make one for mine. All the best from the west country.
You won’t be disappointed with the blade. With a couple of mods done to it you will have a knife that is a workhorse that will work all day and is cheap into the bargain 👍
Which one of the Tramontina machete is it a bolo or 18in which one is it
It’s the 14in bolo machetes m8
Easy Going Outdoors E.G.O you said you cut two inches from it became a 12 inch??
Approximately m8. Give or take a bit. To get it the right size for myself biomechically if there is such a word. It should be from your fingers tips to the crook of your elbow. I have found this measurement to be the best for my large camp knives and machetes. Anything over this measurement the blades start to become unwieldy in hand when in hard use.
The original over all blade length was 50.2cm and the blade length was 36.8cm
Was a 14" bolo but he reduced it by 2" with a straight cut so it is shaped more like a cane machete. I think I'm going to do this too.
The Brazilians know how to make a blade.
The certainly do m8. The tramontina is one of my all time favourite blades
