Great video, If you could get your hands on a Simplex Sounder Base 4098-9794, that would be really cool to see. We have several in each of our dorm rooms, and I've heard the system go off countless nights, but it'd be cool to see it on RUclips

Nice! I plan on changing my system a little bit now that I have more time since school sports are over and I want to get some Wheelock Z series NA’s and a DSM sync module and hook it up to my RSS and my Simplex 4004 (obviously a panel from 1999 doesn’t have such a thing as a sync protocol) and tidy up my wiring a bit (hopefully in the future I’ll get FPL but it’s not cheap and what I use now is close enough). Not sure if the sync module will stay but it is something I’d like to have.

Is that detector on the right just a heat detector or is it a smoke and heat combo

The 4903- models seems to always have that "fading-out" horn effect 😄. Don't know if I explained that well, but maybe you know what I mean.
I'm trying to get a 4903-9236, and for all I know, it also has that "fading-out" horn effect (and is also crazy LOUD!). 😅
+Zachary Fleck Maybe it's the way the horns was designed 😕. Pretty interesting though. I believe the 4903- series came out between the mid-90s to maybe somewhere in the 2000s. I don't honestly know, but I DO know the Advances came out after 2006. 😉
Zachary Fleck My 4 wire TrueAlert doesn’t do that...it’s probably the sync you’re running it on.
