I’ve noticed the same sound effect too. I even heard that a part of the Ymir was cannibalized for one of the 2 Cyclopses in The 7th Voyage of Sinbad that came a year after this film.
I thought there was more Stop Motion of the Ymir. 6:07 Especially the fight with the Elephant I mentioned before. It should’ve been a total of 14 minutes combined. 6:15 That’s exactly how the Stop Motion sequence was seen in the trailer. The black & white version anyway before it was seen in color like what we’re seeing here. In the movie it temporarily cut to a woman screaming & then showed the fighting scene again.
I wonder what the version of 20 Million Miles to Earth be like in GCI just to compare the original from the 60s just like the film makers did for Clash of the Titan.
Ray Harryhuasen Movies always had the best Special Effects.
