Sean, No, he did not! The Olympics gold is about the only thing he won through 1 million international tournaments. Ryu Seung Min's gold medal victory was his lone triumph over Wang Hao in 10+ encounters. Credit Ryu for winning the big one but overall, he sure was more like a failed TT player at the international stage.
@@benthekeeshond545 What kind of dubious logic is that?!! How can he be a failed TT player when he won the Olympic Gold and was a top 10 player in the world for many years in his career? Let's see how successful a TT player you are. LOL! Get real, buddy!!
@@seekthetruths22 I am not comparing Ryu to an arbitrary TT professional and of course not myself. Is it fair to compare yourself to Ma Long or Waldner? My comment was about Ryu dominated TT or not in which he lost an overwhelming majority of his competitions. If the theme of this argument is dominating or not, Ryu lost almost every single prestigious tournament in his career. Wouldn't that describe Ryu as the opposite of a dominating player?
@@benthekeeshond545 LOL! You're not that intelligent, are you? You're saying Ryu lost "an overwhelming majority of his competitions". Just what kind of factual data are you basing that on? If you're really confident about what you're alleging, provide the actual numbers in your reply.
Ma Long is a machine, he was only 16 then. Makes me think that Fan Zhendong, being world number 2 at age 19, will be dominating in the next 4 to 8 years and who will be his competition?

long live penholder ! a Jpen lover from China .😃
Ma Longs Old Serve
Ma Long was born Oct. 20, 1988, so he was probably just 16 years old here. It would be several more years before he became number 1.
Era uma besta enjaulada. Maior caneta que já vi jogar! Meu ídolo máximo no tênis de mesa! Obrigado Ryu!
2005: Young Attacker MaLong
2016: Prime, Grand Slam Malong
2021: Tactician, Controller MaLong earned 2nd Grand Slam, to be best of the best
For context, RSM was at his prime and an olympic champion in 2004 while ML was just a teenager, yet, RSM had to fight 7 sets to win.
Ryu Seung Min dominated those years...
He would get dominated if he still played

Thanks a lot! You are awesome.
Look Ma Long at 16:33. UNBELIAVABLE REACTION
he anticipated the wrong direction, but still managed to return ball.

What happened at 7:55, after 3-1 in the fourth game? Why did they stop playing the point, and Ma Long won?
The ball hit Ryu's hands. According to the rule, you can only use the racket to hit the ball.
7:54 não entendi o que aconteceu de errado.
Saque irregular do ma long era desumano.
