  • Recording of my training session at Cobra Fencing Club, Jersey City, NJ, USA. Part 2 of 4.
    This video focuses on technical footwork actions, including:
    Double-Advance / Double-Retreat
    Half-Advance / Half-Retreat
    Slide-Forward
    Jump Backwards
    Steps with varying length and speed.
    "Shadow fencing" incorporating all the above
    I'm an old guy (46), so if you try this routine, be sure to adapt the duration and intensity for your fitness level. I.e. 1 minute per set rather than 30 seconds - do what works best for you!
    And always be sure to consult your fencing coach or personal trainer before embarking on any new workout routine!
