I was captivated by the hype of Makhmudov myself just like a lot of people to be honest. Guy is a monster but in hindsight he's been technically suspect. A notable fight is the Takam one but then again I put it down to Takam being a warrior. This guy has serious power but he has no defense, very flat-footed and cannot cut the ring off at all. He just runs up on guys and relies on being a scary motherfucker. I can however see him running into a big shot in future and getting wiped out literally in the first round against a serious puncher. Didn't see Kabayel beating him though so still very much taken aback, but this is heavyweight boxing!

I would like to see him vs. Martin Bakole: that should be an interesting fight. I am impressed with Kabayel and did not know about him until that fight with Makhmudov thanks to the Saudi prince. If this fight does occur, I think I will go with Kabayel. I would like to see Parker against the winner between Hrgovic and Dubois. Or I would like to see Parker against Bakole, and Kabayel against the winner of Hrgovic and Dubois. I am very grateful to the Saudi Prince for his efforts to get these great fights in such a short period of time: money talks!

What is the problem with Makhmudov's neck? In between rounds sometime he is twitching his neck 10 times. Sometimes that is related to brain function or a neurological issue. He should visit a Doctor.

His strategy was to attack. Didn't know how to defend himself against a proficient boxer. Blame his trainer for that. Poor guy is technically ignorant. More or less completely open to soul destroying liver punches. Another fight the so called experts got wrong. The commentators had praised Agit for completing the first round. Whereas he was simply waiting for his corner to give him the go-ahead to destroy Mak. This came at the interval between the 2nd and 3rd rounds ( I can speak German ). Agit followed his trainer's orders and took his " unbeatable" opponent apart. He more than likely could have taken him out in the first or second round. Mak must now learn how to box proficiently.
Big crude, slow guys like Makhmudov always fail against good fighters that move and aren't afraid. By the third round Kabayel knew he had him. The announcers gave Makhmudov way too much credit. Makhmudov is not a good fighter. All he has is a big punch with little boxing ability and no stamina.
His trainer gave him the go-ahead to destroy him between the 2 nd and 3 rd rounds. Agit had to wait until they said he could attack. He could probably have knocked him out in the first or second rounds , had they wanted him too. Mak is just a marketing prankster.
New Kabayel fan here from the UK...He is now my personal second favorite HW, after Joshua...Great fight and this man has skills and intelligence...
