    I'm wary and respectful if i ever need to visit a cemetery or grave yard, best to ask for protection from a patron deity to prevent spirits from following you home.
    Also some spell workings require graveyard dirt at home, that's why some witches take it away from the yard.
    Good video with some sage advice, thanks for sharing ❤✌️

      Do you have advice for a person who's always been kind of interested and sort of "visited" in this world, but new to witchy stuff? I do not work with a patron deity, still finding myself.

    • @witchNwand
      @witchNwand 6 месяцев назад

      @jadajohnson5733 Be respectful. that's the key word.
      Always seek guidance from your spirit guides, they'll NEVER steer you wrong.
      NEVER try contacting spirit's on an ouija board by yourself, and when you do use a spirit board with others, make damn sure you have a magick circle set up around you all for protection, there are a lot of trickster spirit's out there who would pretend to be someone they're not.
      But if you don't follow a deity, then seek out your spirit guides using a pendulum, but it is still advisable to cast a protective circle around yourself when seeking to meet them, until you know and feel sure that they are who they say they are.
      I'm not trying to scare you, just that protection is a must.

    I was always told to exit a cemetery via the same entrance I came in as often they’ll have multiple

    • @asterperpetua
      @asterperpetua  Год назад

      that's also a very valid point. It didn't even cross my mind, bc usually the other entrances are closed and there's only a main one open.

    I come from filipino background and we call cemeteries "camposanto" as well, something like "holy field".
    I was taught that cemeteries have their own spirits and that's why some cemeteries may be more welcoming than others, and also that not only the cemeteries have guardians but some graves as well if they have a statue or a symbol on them, and that those guardians are very vigilant and suspicious of anyone entering, I suppose in case we want to cause trouble or disrupt their peace. I was also taught to be careful where I step on and to follow the little path.
    Leaving coins at the entrance as an offering is something new for me, but I know some people would wear head covers or bandanas for protection so no spirit could enter or mess with them. I was also taught that when leaving the cemetery to make sure to go somewhere else first before going home so that some spirits that would be following us would get lost or go back to the cemetery. And my family used to use a term “pag-pag” as to shake the negative or bad energies or to send away the bad spirits.
    On another note, on October 31st and November 1st would be very special dates and people would spend the day at the cemetery and they would have picnic and karaoke and spend the day with their passed relatives. It may be cheerful for the spirits to have their loved ones visiting.
    Here in Spain seems odd/weird seeing someone going for a walk at the cemetery or sitting on the grass and reading a book or just having a quiet time. Most cemeteries I’ve visited they have security guards and have closing time and at least in my town they are a bit far so I never go. But visiting is something I might consider in the future.
    And last, I would like to know how you adopted a grave and how is your experience when visiting them. Did you do any research on those graves before adopting? How do they feel when you adopted them?
    Can you tell I loved the video? 😉❤

    Hello Astar 🌹! I have a question regarding the head covering in the cemetery; is the reason to protect the "head/crown"?

    How/what can the cemetary spirits help you with? Of course, all of them, not only the spirit of the dead :)

    • @asterperpetua
      @asterperpetua  Год назад

      The other entities are mostly responsible for the spirits of the dead. They help them out, let's say. But of course, we are spirits, too. So these entities can grant us some extra protection, even road openings. They are very powerful.

    I love your videos so much! I was just thinking of going to the cemetery to visit a friend who recently passed. I was wondering if it would be ok to take something as offering? like painted rocks or something of the sort.

    • @asterperpetua
      @asterperpetua  Год назад +3

      I think it would be nice to take something for your friend, especially something that you know they used to really like. The painted rocks are also an adorable idea!
      But people wo just passed can be going through a bit of a rough patch, bc they have just entered an entirely different mode of existing... So it's important to give them space, meaning that you should wait a few years before trying to contact them or work with them as a spiritual partner.
      Thank you for your comment 🤍

      @@Marie_Lestrangeyeah big culture difference. If you feel you need to go visit your friend go. Your friend can be in limbo or anything & might need assistance transitioning. If you were really close, then you already can start assisting with this matter. I'm not disrespecting nobody's culture but seek your ancestors and your friends ancestors. Asé white 🤍

    That’s bizarre I’m romanichal and was always taught to walk out backwards after leaving an offering of sorts. Just shows there’s truth to it if people thousands of miles apart are doing the same thing. Typically it’s vary taboo to even go near the dead though. Shame really

    Isaiah55:6&7,"Seek the Lord while he may be found; call on him while he is near.Let the wicked forsake their ways and the unrighteous their thoughts.
    Let them turn to the Lord, and he will have mercy on them, and to our God, for he will freely pardon."
    Repent, receive Jesus Christ as your Lord and savior today.This is God's invitation for redemption, Jesus loves you so much and he is the only WAY to eternity.God bless you
