Good information but recommended excluding or making sure the background music doesn’t overpower your own speaking voice. Had to rewind 100 times because music is too loud
I was reached out to, to consider taking a masters in this. But looking up pay, it seemed pretty poor. I admit I don’t know it well enough to know all the job types. But the average seemed around $85k with a FEW jobs in the $120k+ range. Seems wildly low for a masters degree with specialized knowledge. Is this pay I found accurate if the field?
Amazing video i really appreciate it as a geomatic student who wants to dive deep into the gis world . Would love if there is a road map for beginners cause I find the starting point so confusing . I hope you can make a video about it . And thank you again🙌🙏
Hi Matt, thanks for the explanation, I would like to ask you a question, how does the work of a developer differ from that of a GIS developer? What are the differences in terms of skills and actual coding? Also, I would like to know more about GIS by reading a book, is there any book you would recommend for that? Thanks a lot!
So the work varies a bit as there are sometime specialized backends for GIS developers. Traditionally this includes things like Geoserver or Geonode but more databases and data warehouses are adding geospatial capabilities along with map tiling services to render the data. As for books there is a great book coming out soon - Python for Geospatial Data Analysis: Theory, Tools, and Practice for Location Intelligence a.co/d/dAxPA2b
Hello sir, Please give me a suggestion. Master of Planning or Master of Geospatial Information Systems which one is best for Future career ? I am planning for higher study in Australia. But now i feel disappoint for making decision. My background was Geography & Environment for both times B.S and M.S . Please give me your personal opinion. Thank you from Bangladesh.
If you have the geography background applying that with planning could be a great combination but before doing anything check the job demand and salaries in your area to gauge which has a more robust job market.
I think something that's difficult with modern GIS software is cartography. It's definitely gotten better in ArcPro than what it used to be but making beautiful maps requires you use other software such as Illustrator. Open source options exist with programs such as Inkscape which are helpful but it would be nice to keep everything in one program
So I am not sure Entp is the average male. At least if we are talking about population. I would be classified as an ENTP but I didn’t know a single Entp until I went to college. There I think I met like three of them. If he means average being of all the qualities of all men if you were to average out the results of all the males to construct a character that would be the mathematical average of how all men would score on the four letters, then I think that might be more accurate. I just think ENTPs are really kinda of strange eccentric animals compared to the rest of the personality types. That stereotype doesn’t make any sense if we are talking about numbers of ENTPs in the population which I think is supposed to be 3%

Thanks and still figuring out how to edit these!
you are my mentor for GIS from now...Thank you
Appreciate it and happy to help!
Keep up the good work Matt, these videos are really helpful!
Thanks and will do!
May I ask if it's possible to learn GIS online ad a Certificate, as a graduate who doesnt have a Geography or Geology degree?
Yes definitely working on a course

I have a road map in my other videos if you want to check that out!

Thanks Matt, your videos are much appreciated and great content!
Thank you Elise!

That’s true if you need very custom print maps then Illustrator is a good tool.
Good work!
Appreciate it!
Matt, please check the sound. It should be a bit louder
Thanks still learning how to edit!
Very nice 😊 love you Matt😊💖
Thank you! 😃
Amazing video... Please add subtitles to the video. Thank You
Thank you!

Audio is very low in this video
Yeah this is one of my first videos - still learning!
The music is distracting. It prevents hearing and understanding. Thank you for your consideration.
Still working on my editing skills but good call!
I didn't know the first John Snow.
I know I didn’t either before making this video!
@@MattForrest 😀
Thank you for the clarity! Are you SURE you aren't ai?? lol the video makes you look like it.
Thanks for the video, but please get a better mic or speak more loudly.
Yes thanks for the feedback!
@@MattForrest The level of the music is too high for the voice. And the explanation is a bit fast to catch for beginners.
Shirt same colour as background 😊
I was still working on my filming skills back then
