Can we take a second to acknowledge how much of a healthy and emotionally open KING Wade is?! My dude is doing for romantic partners what Bandit and Chilli from Bluey are doing for parents!!
I detail I absolutely love is that when the flood hits, Bernie tries to get back into the shop for the blue flame, because it's so important. But as soon as Ember goes in, Bernie's immediate response is to try and stop her. It's a great display of what matters most to you, and in comparison to Ember the blue flame means very little to Bernie
"The Leidenfrost effect is a physical phenomenon in which a liquid, close to a surface that is significantly hotter than the liquid's boiling point, produces an insulating vapor layer that keeps the liquid from boiling rapidly." - wiki That's why they can touch. There is an extremely thin steam barrier between them
It’s amazing how good of a comeback this saw at the box office. The opening weekend looked like it was going to be a huge failure, but then it held on well in the coming weeks to where it almost broke even!
Can we just appreciate how amazing Wade is. Like he feels sorry for her in the beginning and when he hears about her situation he wants to help her disregarding what EVERYONE else thinks (that everyone hates fire) and he does his best to help her reach her dream of not only saving her dads shop but also realising her true passion. And he also respect her boundaries as well as his family they are so understanding. I love it ❤️❤️ also you are amazing can't wait to see what you have next instore 😊
Everyone just WAITING for the dad to die. 😂 Really fun commentary dude. This movie was great, I'm so glad it got recognition and I hope it grows more in the public. More unique characters that are original and groundbreaking animation please.
This film is actually better than people give it credit for. Like, I get it, the whole prejudice thing seems like a copy of Zootopia and there are definitely some parts that weren't needed (the weird Earth guy who was crushing on Ember, for one), but other than that, first time in a while since I felt true magic watching Pixar.
He's a kid who just started puberty and is showing of his hair (flowers) he's growing to symbolise his "adulthood" for the older female he likes lol. usual stuff, just with the added effect of fire vs tree
This movie IMO marked the comeback of Pixar. Along with its stunning visuals, the story itself was beautiful. It really showed what a real relationship looks like, where the couple both grow because of one another (with Thomas Newmans score those moments just hit me hard), and also did a great job depicting the hardships of immigration, familial love, the importance of communication, and the meaning of self sacrifice. And the puns, YES! Sometimes films can go overboard with corny puns but for this movie it totally worked. So many lol moments🤣. Absolutley loved it!
My favorite scene from the movie is the beach scene. One of my biggest fears is disappointing my family, mainly my parents. They have done so much to make me an independent young woman and to support my sister and I, no matter how much we make a decision they dont like or screw up. I love and appreciate them more than anything. So I really related to Ember on that front. Also, I love your puns 😂
I loved this movie as Disney's first official rom-com. And I love how the director (also directed the underrated Good Dinosaur) got to input some of his personal family experiences
This movie was such a fun surprise bc , ngl, when the trailer came out i first thought it would just be a basic “guy and girl from different worlds fall in love” story, but it’s so much more!
I LOVE this movie, and Wade is my favorite character. Obviously he grows on you, but man, what a guy! Plus I love how inventive it all is, and how beautiful it all looks! Such a great movie!
Wade being emotional makes since if you think of the zodiac. As a fire sign I found him crying a little too much at times other times it just showed he was in touch with his emotions and wasnt afraid to be vulnerable. As for Wade and Ember touching it is called Leidenfrost effect pretty cool to check out.
I love how everytime a movie seems to have more puns than MID, he takes that as a challenge or a declaration of war and it ends up becoming a pun-fest lmao
I think the reason they could touch is because they were being careful of eachother. Every other time we saw water and fire touch, someone got hurt because they weren't being considerate.
I watched it on Disney+ I don’t remember why I went in already thinking it might not be good… So glad I was wrong. It was good and Pixar can always get me to cry.
I watch this movie in the cinema with my sisters and it a pretty good romatic movie. I think the reason of the low rating is becuase of how Disney think that the live-action movie would do better then the animated one when in reality, everyone love a good cartoon movie then live action ones....
We saw this at the movies with my best friend (mind you we're both 19) and there were only kids, their parents, and us, and we laughed and cried the loudest😂😂 in fact we were the only ones to cry😂
I would like to add that this entire movie is on elements and yet @MID did not do one joke related to avatar and the last Airbender. Also, how do you think the meeting went when they all just sat around talking about the different puns to use in this movie? 😊 🔥❤💧
This movie made me so emotional I cried so many times especially when Wade dies and when she bows for her dad at the end. Tears in my eyes writing this. Loved your punny reaction and commentary.
Disney thought they were gonna get me but NOPE! I REFUSED to accept that Wade was gone so I didn't shed a tear for him and I'm glad I didn't because those tears would have been wasted lol I did cry in other scenes tho, especially when Ember bowed to her father at the very end. Disney/Pixar always gets me eventually 😅
The fact this movie is Pixar's first rom-com after Wall-E is just crazy. Pixar always make movies that hit hard. They are masters in giving life to anything: toys, animals, monsters... And now they gave life to actual elements. Not to mention the story that is so relatable in so many ways. You know, the creator, who is the son of Korean immigrants, made this movie as a way to thank his parents for what they did for him. Sadly, they died before they could watch it.
Saw this in cinema with my friend and we ended up havng the whole screen to ourlseves and we were gushing about how much we love wade and we were crying happy tears nearly the whole movie😂😭it was such a beautiful movie both in its story and life but also in how it looked as well, its one id watch over and over again
I had a good time at the Eras Tour film. No mosh pits. Everyone applauded when it was called for. I hate that it didn't have ALL of the songs from the full tour (from what I saw on TikTok).
Dude your random comments made me laugh too many times😂 it's like when you watch an edit with hilarious comments in it and the og video gets funnier bc of that. I like it
This flim was not what i was expecting. Im a guy, which means I dont really cry as much, but this flim actually had my eyes kinda watering, and the relationship between water and fire was amazing. What did yall think of this flim? 🤔 😔🔥💧🤩
Will have to skip this one, for now, as haven't seen the movie, yet. Missing me some Sandra Bullock on the channel, though. 'Practical Magic' (1998) would fix that and be in keeping with Spooktober month. 🎃
Ah, yes. The film all the conservatives said was "woke and broke." I saw it and it was completely fine. Same with the Barbie, Spiderverse, and The Super Mario movies, but they seemed to give this movie particular hate, but I now know why. Their brains are just wired differently, so of course they see this movie as a "bad" thing. They even hated on Encanto and Coco (for obvious reasons if you read their comments with tons of upvotes on message boards). I guess these lovable, polished, and creative Pixar movies were not made for people like them, and they should just go off somewhere and watch some more Alex Jones and Leo and Layla.
I personally loved this and laughed and cried in the end but again Pixar always has a habit of not truly doing real death scenes. messing with our hearts. How dare they. nay just kidding, But great reaction.
I am still trying to comprehend what exactly they were planning with Clod. He sounded like a kid who was literally crushing on someone older than him. He just creeped me out to no end.
Kid just started puberty, crushes on an older girl (happens a lot) and is trying to show her how manly he is now that he's growing flowers (hair). Usual stuff honestly, see it a lot in children around that age
I saw this movie in theaters when it came out this summer and was actually surprised at how much I actually enjoyed it. I had a good time! I'm glad it ended up doing well at the box office after it started off bombing when it was first released.
6:38 too personal to tell a stranger at city hall who can help you. But not too personal to tell Wade... a stranger. At city hall. That could help her.
I won't lie, when I go watch a movie in theaters, I'm not really into people going crazy every 5 second (unless it's justified). I'm right there with you, I just like sitting, chilling and keeping the reactions internally.
I will always love how Spot from ATSV went from a villain of the week to a multiverse threat. He went from "Please just let me rob you!" to "I'm gonna take everything from you." He went from 🤡 to 👿.

I was wondering that, but to be honest we don’t learn about fire people outside of Ember’s small community. I doubt any other element can make glass pieces so somewhere out there it’s all fire people making glass things.
If Ember and Wade are an animated portrayal of Evan and his wife, would Evan be Wade because of the constant tears? Or would he be Ember because... well, you know.
I don't know how I feel about the new Disney logo. While I appreciate the tiny Easter eggs such as the North Mountain from Frozen and Pride Rock from The Lion King in the background, it still feels just less magic to me. Disney, please, bring back the old one!
I didn’t even notice the change until watching this video! I’m not a fan, I don’t like including specific movies in the logo when Disney spans such a big range of films.

THE REFERENCES in this comment. You speaking facts
@MoviesinDepth You should definitely watch Bluey for your channel!! Literally one of the best cartoons out there right now!! 🩵🧡
Speaking of 'Bluey', does anyone think that the series might get its 1st film eventually?
16:40 The reason of why that happened is called "leidenfrost effect", where steam works as a protective layer to prevent water from evaporating
Love how he just felt threatened by the puns throughout the whole movie 😂
I WONT be out punned lmao

This movie had the greatest 4th quarter comeback of all time at the box office

Instead of thinking it’s dangerous to make contact, it actually means they have chemistry.
I.E.: Boiling

Acccccurate take right here
He's a kid who just started puberty and is showing of his hair (flowers) he's growing to symbolise his "adulthood" for the older female he likes lol. usual stuff, just with the added effect of fire vs tree
It was marketed so poorly; all that makes it unique is hidden. It was just sold as “elements don’t mix”
Feels good to see Pixae bring back their creativity, especially with the element people and how they're animated. It's been dearly missed.
I need more of these in my life
I loved this movie as Disney's first official rom-com. And I love how the director (also directed the underrated Good Dinosaur) got to input some of his personal family experiences
This movie was such a fun surprise bc , ngl, when the trailer came out i first thought it would just be a basic “guy and girl from different worlds fall in love” story, but it’s so much more!

I will not be defeated
It's such a great example of a healthy consesual relationship. They could seriously hurt each other but because they both want to they can touch ❤

@@MoviesinDepth Seriously! 😂
Wades fake death had me crying
I watch this movie in the cinema with my sisters and it a pretty good romatic movie. I think the reason of the low rating is becuase of how Disney think that the live-action movie would do better then the animated one when in reality, everyone love a good cartoon movie then live action ones....
the scene where Wade and Ember touch is actually scientifically accurate, when water reaches a certain temperature it won't evaporate
We saw this at the movies with my best friend (mind you we're both 19) and there were only kids, their parents, and us, and we laughed and cried the loudest😂😂 in fact we were the only ones to cry😂
This film is very precious to me…😊
This movie was soooo cute
I don't care what people say this movie was absolutely ADORABLE!!!!

This movie is probably my favorite Disney Pixar movie after Up… it’s such a beautiful story of family…I love it
YES it really is

Disney trauma - expecting a parent death the whole movie.
THE ACCURACY LMAO
Am I the only person who imagines one direction and Wade telling Ember "Baby you light up my world like nobody else"?
The fact this movie is Pixar's first rom-com after Wall-E is just crazy. Pixar always make movies that hit hard. They are masters in giving life to anything: toys, animals, monsters... It still amazes me the 180 degree turnaround this movie had at the box office. It deserved to have success!!
The whole movie was fantastic but I think the vase that ember makes at wades place is my fav
I want to buy one of them
100% but way too clumsy so I’d need ember on speed dial to fix it any time I dropped it or knocked it over
