  • Cash stuffing as an American in South Korea trying to save money using an envelope budget system :)
Hey, Everyone! This is my first time cash stuffing. I decided to film it because I love to watch cash stuffing videos and thought making a video would help motivate me to stick to my new budget. I live in Korea so all the money is in won. Please enjoy~

It’s really satisfying to watch you count your cash and stuff them. That’s a good chunk of cash to have at once.

Hey, nice stuffing! I just wanted to ask, is cash common as a way to pay for stuff in Korea?

Hello! Thanks for watching! Cash is common when paying street vendors or at traditional markets, but if you are at a department store or restaurant, it's much, much more common to pay with card or a mobile app like Samsung pay. Some places even have had trouble making exact change for me, and at many stores, self-check out machines do not take cash at all. Using exclusively cash in Korea is certainly inconvenient!

Is this a lot of money considered in Korea?? Generally speaking, how much money (in Won) is necessary to survive a month in Korea without rent and car/transportation?
