- I visited what could be one of my favourite Ryokan in Japan! A ryokan is a type of traditional Japanese inn that typically features tatami-matted rooms, communal baths, and other public areas where visitors may wear Yukata and is usually family owned.
This Ryokan can only be booked by contacting them directly and only in Japanese. So I'll try my best to point you in the right direction:

Would you stay in accommodation like this one?
How can you book it if you do not speak Japanese?
This is fantastic! One of the best ryokan I stayed was across the road from Narita San temple. Listening to the Monks chanting and being called to prayer was just other worldly
At least a 1 night stay at Ryokan is a must for me! this place looks cozy and the food spectacular, great find!
Totally agree!
Nice chilled video Nathan. What a lucky find! I am currently booking accommodations for various destinations for an imminent 3 week jaunt around Japan. I'm tending to find so far I am defaulting back to hostel type places (as this is my style over the years) but as I'm not as young as once was I need to take some inspirations form the various other styles of hotel you and your blogs and chats are highlighting. Am just looking into minshuku now after someone mentioned in the live stream...
OOH Let me know what you come up with!
Thank you Nathan for your video and information about this Ryokan, finally I’m stay in Japan now , saludos from Japan my friend! 🎉

Yea although ashikaga is a nice place to go to and not to far on the train
I think they're really missing out on bookings, but maybe they enjoy the slower pace. Can't blame them for that. I bet they can really just take it easy and enjoy themselves.
Yes and put a lot of effort into their service too
For us outside Japan .. is it ok? is an understatement, looks fantastic!! That looks like a Showa era ryokan. Thank you!!
Yes! It was epic!!
