You are a better person than me… I’d of stayed and let him know it’s illegal to harass a fisherman and if he wants, call the police and get embarrassed
The owner has riparian rights he legally can't chase you from the area of his dock however I think fishing under his dock is pushing the limit of boundaries because then liability comes into factor but if the person fishing is away from the dock the owner cant restrict anyone fishing around his dock I would not fish under the dock.
check property appraiser websites too, if they’re property line goes out on the water then they pay taxes on the land under the water and can tell you to get out… but who other than big marinas want to pay that extra tax for land under water lol

His intentions were clear, either way, and there are rights in place protecting fishermen from interference. This guy went from 0-100 right out of the gate and not his first time, based on feedback. There are some nice fish under those string of docks, too! Tight lines.
Idk you were parked up next to the dock, you can fish around it but at what point are you docking up to it. And assault is a little bit of a stretch. The dude is an asshole for sure but still.
Thanks for watching. It comes down to when you tie off to the structure when docking is concerned. It would be assault, no matter how aggressive it would be presented. Sprayed by water is hardly painful (40 degrees and 20 mph, it would not be fun) but illegal just the same.

His kayak was also up against the dock. The dock owner is lame but dock is his, the water isn’t.
Turns out it was his son's dock but we were getting pushed into the dock, that's for sure.
