Guys, I was on the getting these for my G63 but after watching this I went ahead and ordered them. Thanks so much for the walk through and more importantly the sequence that you have to do before unplugging that one wire!
I am not sure, this video was filmed a long time ago and they have gone through many revisions since then. It would be best to contact the manufacturer.
Brothers, great video, thanks a lot. I just purchased those same lights and will install on Wednesday on my 2014 G-WAGON. I did not understand what to do with that disconnect on the ballast, you mentioned to disconnect...Do I leave that disconnected always? THANKS.
Hello I have to ask my friend, It has been so long ago I cant remember to be honest. When I get an answer I will let you know, but I think the instructions inside the box say something about it.
Hi. I bought same lights. I have connected everything correctly. the brake lights are on constantly. there is an error message in the car that says the right drivelight has gone off. The abs lamp in car also go on. Do you know what det problem is?
Nev Singh just seeing this message. No they have not. The first truck we did was my brothers white G63 those are still working great. The second was this G550 in this video. The last one I did was a G500. If you watch the video DJ Kash G wagon modifications. You will see the lights on that one. I also did the head lights on his truck as well. All of the equipment still works no blown leds or crazy dash warning lights.
In my humble opinion I wouldn’t try to convert a G550 into a G63. Maybe change the grill and exhaust tips but that is it. I’m assuming you are in KSA but here in the states every single one of those conversion jobs I’ve seen look suspect. Especially when they do the front bumper but don’t have any hardware behind the bumper. From what I hear the costs can vary greatly 5k-15k or more especially if you are trying to source OEM parts and they have to be painted. If you found a wrecked G wagon and want to customize it I guess I could see that otherwise I would save that money and get a real G63.
Norman Solorzano I am not 100 percent certain but you could probably make it work. You would probably have to figure out the wiring but it should work.
Yes they work very good actually. I’ve installed them on 3 of my friends G wagons and they are much better than the stock set up. The design has also been updated so it is a little easier to install now. The last set I installed was very plug and play. I hope that helps you make a decision.
I've bought these tail lights and they are TERRIBLE quality. They're cheaply made in China and I'm not even sure how long they will last. There are smoked ones made in Taiwan that are OEM-level quality but it's individual LED's not an LED Halo like this one.
Chthonian121 I’m not sure which ones you got but my friends and I have installed these on 3 different G wagons that are our personal vehicles and they all still work, look great and haven’t produced any dash errors. In fact the only reason we even got these is because we all had issues with the OEM G wagon tail lights. The plastic part that is supposed to retain the brake bulb gets weak over time and the brake bulb doesn’t make contact anymore. I’ve seen this issue with 3 out of our 4 G wagons. Since we installed the LED lights no problems at all. I’m pretty sure you can tell this isn’t a sponsored video 😂😂😂. I have no reason to promote these tail lights other than my personal experience with them vs the OEM. Good luck with your G wagon!

Where did you order from?
Thanks for this video! Just about to do this upgrade to my 2008 G500 and this was very helpful.
Glad it helped! Thanks for watching and good luck!
My new version of this light came with the green and black wire disconnected already. That means I just leave it that way right ?

awwgood2600 I haven’t ever had to change a back up light on a Gwagon. More than likely it’s only 2 screws and it should come off . I will take a look.

How those lights have they caused any issues? Blown leds or caused any error messages in the dash

Can you give me your opinion on converting a G550 to G63 (W463) and how much would it cost.(Exterior only)
