Granted, Murdoc wrote the album, but it's possible that this track in particular was meant to be taken from 2D's point of view, whether he wrote it or not. The band is imaginary, there is a storyline here. That's why the lyrics tend to be nonsensical from the point of view of someone who doesn't focus on the canon.
