I just want to compliment you on your professionalism, and your crediting the magicians involved. I'm a big stickler for crediting those who create magic and I get agitated with "magicians" who do not credit and have no skill with card handling. You are obviously a pro and your skill and manipulations are truly expert. Thank you, Michael!
How in heck…what a fooler.. how it work i didnt know and it did only the card trick much better iIts a powerfuel card trick. I love selfworking card trick Thanks Msix 👍
Very nice trick my friend I really enjoyed it thank you for the video and thank you for the tutorial as well take care and I catch you on your next video Mr. Simmons
Will do! If you take a look at ‘Back Stop’ and ‘Family Reunion’, those are two effects that play well via Zoom. In fact the Curry Swindle from ‘Family Reunion’ is great because the spectators get to feel like they participated in the shuffling. Will see what else I can dig up!
Hi, great trick, i love the self working tricks as they give so much freedom for performance and story. I think you were maybe mistaken as this trick does not require a full deck of 52, it can be done with any decent number of cards, and the number can be changed if fewer "lucky"cards are needed. but great trick, definitely adding it to my arsenal :)
If anyone is interested, there isn't really any maths involved in this, just deck manipulation. Your lucky 7 card is placed in the 21st position from the bottom of the deck. The cards in the spectator's 2nd pile come from the bottom of the deck. When they cut that 2nd pile to select their card, they will be placing that half down first before placing the remaining cards on top, then you place your pile on top of that, always ensuring that their card is the 21st card from your lucky 7. It doesn't matter how many cards the spectator has in their first pile (from the top of the deck) as these are not used and are just a distraction - it might help to imagine that pile isn't even there. If you pick one of the bottom 20 cards at random and place it down first before putting the other cards on top, it'll always be the 21st card from the lucky 7.
Hi Six, the problem I'm having is when the spectator picks their card by cutting, they always return the pack to where they found it, instead of to the other pack. So their card didn't end up in the correct position. Do you see what I mean?
Ah ok, the key with that is to slow the procedure down. You can a) tell them them what they are going to do, so tell them to cut, look at the card, and drop it onto the tabled packet. But this must be done BEFORE they actually cut. So they know what to do before they start the action. Another approach is b) tell them to cut the packet and hold it against their chest. Now you can tell them they will look at the card and drop it onto the packet on the table. The pause of them holding it against their chest will allow you the time to explain the next step before they try to place the cards back. Hope this helps!
This video makes no sense. In order for this to work, when you cut to the 7, the selected card must be to the TOP of the deck because you are placing 20 cards on top. This explanation has the selected card buried in the deck NOT on the top of the deck
Hi Carl, I’m not fully sure what you mean. When you deal the cards it brings the selection the appropriate position. If you follow along as I describe it should work. Let me know if you have any issues and I will be glad to help you out.
You must be kidding: you’re shown a fantastic self-working card trick requiring no sleight of hand or skills - apart from the ability to count to seven - and you’re complaining the presenter gives you too much information as you apparently can’t follow along? Good Grief. “Thank you” or “Those tips look pretty interesting to learn so I’ll look for your free tutorial vids on those, and thanks again” come to mind as comments, but nah. If you like minimal tips, you’ll dig this one - maybe card tricks just aren’t your thing.
Is this an effect you can see yourself trying on a spectator?
P.S. sorry about the audio change!
