Another tip I recommend to people is to sync your weekly rewards. Catch, spin and collect a field research reward every day so they all pay off on the same day when you can put on a Lucky Egg and/or Star Piece. While they are running, do all the things Daxi suggested. As well as open gifts if you still have some time on the Star Piece.
My two biggest tips for people building out stuff to raid with would be: 1) Don't sweat IVs too much. Obviously, you want as good as possible, but the reality is that IVs rarely matter in raids unless you're trying to do the smallest groups possible. If I wasn't so determined to get full teams of 96%+ pokemon, I could've saved myself a lot of money over the years. 2) Know the budget counters. Yes, legendaries will almost always be at the top of their respective type lists, but there are usually a few non-legendary pokemon that score pretty high up the list as well. For example, Earth Power Garchomp isn't THAT MUCH worse than Precipice Blades Groudon, and the former can be obtained for free. Also, shadow pokemon, which are more expensive dust wise to power up but can be obtained for free, are typically some of the hardest hitters if you know what you're looking for.
I only disagree with the Pokemon storage vs item storage. Poke balls are always plenty if you have active friends who send gifts. Gifts give so many useful items and if you have a large enough friend list you will be absolutely inundated with pokeballs. So for me I always prioritise Pokemon storage over item storage
I completely agree, prioritize Pokémon storage, if your Pokémon are full you’ve got to go through and figure out what to transfer which can be difficult and tedious. If your bag is full it just means it’s time to go catch Pokémon and go gym battles and raids till you run out of balls and potions and then re-up again. And I’d much rather be running back to poke stops more frequently than constantly stopping to transfer more Pokémon
Great tips PokeDaxi. I've been mostly F2P since the big post-covid update but still buy event tickets for Tour and Go Fest. Last tour was meh but Go Fest was amazing.
Another FTP Tip, MEGAS: Any time a new mega Pokemon comes out, do enough raids (usually only 2) to get the mega energy needed to mega evolve them. Having level 3 megas will get you more EXP and more candy then you would get just catching on your own. I have all of my Pokemon I use as megas under a tag, then when I go to that tag I search "Can Mega Evolve" so that I can see which ones are ready to go for free without using energy. Once you evolve one, you can walk for the rest of the energy if you want, but you don't need to. I have 15 mega level 3 Pokemon now just because I check in on them every few days and do my free evolution to level them up. Mega level 3s come in huge on events like community day when you want to squeeze as much as you can out of your time. So make sure you're not missing these! Added bonus, you can shoot your mega medal up really quickly using this method of just evolving whether you're using them at the time or not.
Mega0-3 in the search bar Mega0 shows eligible pokemon Mega1-2 brings up pokemon you’re building towards Mega3; you can just scroll through daily and see which ones have finished cooldown.
Ah good Tip. As lvl 30 Player without any good Mon (jolteon with 1700 IS the best) this IS definitly whwt i need. There are fcking Zero Players in 30 km range
Since the Super Raid Box is here, I have never paid so much attention to getting the gym coins each day. I was able to buy it twice for now. Hopefully the box stays till the end of the season, so that I have enough for the next Go Fest and future Raid Days, maybe even the Sinnoh Tour.
Once again, great video!! I'm living proof of this tips as I never spent money on pogo and started doing most of this methods from all the tips I found on your channel when I got back and more serious about it. Catching everything is so underestimated and I'm saying this looking at myself few months ago... I was able to level up all the pokemons I needed/wanted and still have over 2 million dust in a few months... not to mention I cant wait for a 3x dust event with the shellders and some starpieces that I'm saving! The pvp tips were also so clutch not only to win battles but also getting double the rewards at the end! Not to mention that I have the worst luck with Lugia and cannot get a decent one from daily raids but just last week I hit level 20 and already got 4 extra lugias from the 3rd reward.. All the tips on platinum medals, event tips, which pokemons to focus for excellents... cant take you enough, it made the game so much more enjoyable that I now want to spent money on it... great timing lol maybe I'll buy someones used auto catcher
Just if anyone is curious I went from the original 300 storage on both items and pokemons to now over 1000 on each in less than 6 months, just have to be patient and answer lots of surveys lol
It's better to increase Pokemon storage first since there are 730 Pokemon in the game than do item storage after every 4 days you can upgrade you get plenty of Poke ball in stops and gym
My biggest tip would be is get yourself a gotcha … when I first started I did the quick catch method but wasn’t enough . If you get one you can catch twice as fast and get the most dust that way tbh . Doesn’t even have to be a good brand one just a cheap one
30 stardust per berry ;) Its insane if you get around 15 pokemon in a gym which means you get up to 27'000 dust per 30 minutes depending how many pokemon are in a gym (Max is 6 but 5 if there's too many large pokemon)
As a current level 38 F2P player...the absolute hardest thing to do is grow the pokemon/bag storage by trying to get the 50 daily gym coins...the fact that there is a cap on storage is the dumbest part of the game.
Brilliant video, one thing I will add DO NOT EVOLVE STARTER POKEMON OUTSIDE OF THEIR COMMUNITY DAY / certain events! The legacy moves they get are SO strong, it brings them from useless, to top raid counters most of the time!
Although I played this game since day 2 launched. Since the server were down during day one. I appreciate these types of videos you always make. Always learn something new regardless of the topic.
I am ftp on only manual catch. I play everyday(almost) from day one without any specific target. Now i am at level 46 closing to 47. Most xp i get is from friendship.
You need only 45 to 50 mins to get your buddy excited by just walking 4 kilometer & completing all the other tasks and playing with him every 5 mins ... I do it every day for minimum 3-5 Pokemons 😍
I understand for sure that this is a video with great tips, and as always thank you for considering all players and creating content for everyone. I believe it's just plain ridiculous that a game that demands you to play outside also demands this amount of planing and tight daily schedules in order to get a *decent* growing pace, specially when it comes to stardust recollection. I am bored of having to wait for a lucky trade in order to get an improved IVs shiny and then having to wait for when that Pokémon becomes relevant to power it up thanks to the ridiculous stardust prices per level near lvl 40.
A thing I fine very good when playing on a low budget is to do the scan quest that can come from pokestops and gyms. There are times they give 10 pokeball / 5 great ball / Poffin I personally go for the poffin for more easy friendship but the pokeball one has for sure saved me at times
I synchronized my daily catch and special research rewards and claimed them at the same time I was getting ready to hatch 4 of the 10k eggs and earned almost 40,000 stardust this week on a star piece!
I'm actually f2p and live in a rural area, and here are more tips I got from other players or figured out: -Try to hit excellent every single time on a Pokémon. (It saves you pokeballs cause the catch rate is higher, and you can get more xp. Also, good practice for 3x-exp-events) -Open your gifts daily up to the limit. (It gives you a good amount of pokeballs and also per gift from a not maxed friendship player it gives around 1811 exp/gift or for the 50k and 100k on a lucky egg 3477 exp/gift. Make sure to use the "interactable" filter, so you level up your friendshiplevel) -Use ar-mapping for stuff that you need. (When I go out playing, I always do one ar-mapping and upload it at home, so I can get like a puffin for free.) -When feeding berrys to gyms, always keep like 10 of all left that you're feeding away. (If you are playing and want to use a Pinap Berry, you could missclick because you're missing a berry and waste a golden berry. Also keep a little of them for the task where you need to feed berries to Pokémon for an encounter.) -open your gifts in the morning and send out in the evening. (You can save yourself some ultra or great balls cause of this, and so it's easier to send out gift for tasks. Always use "interactable" for more exp by sending gifts) I hope at least one of the tips could help someone. Have fun playing, guys.
Berries fed at a gym is 30 stardust but 50 xp per berry You can do 100 per 30 minutes and gain 3,000 stardust and 5,000 xp every 30 minutes when you have berries If you’re fortunate enough to have a lot of bag space and you play in a large area with many pokestops chances are you will be able to feed berries often enough to keep them low in your item bag Right now I have 800 nanab and 750 razz berries and I’m struggling to find gyms that people won’t kick me out of but I know how useful feeding them is in my rural area and know I have the time to do it so I’m holding off on deleting them until I hit an event where I have to
It’s worth noting that I live next to a church that is a gym and can reach it from my house so even though I live in a rural area I may have a bit of an edge over other players so don’t feel bad if you can’t do the berry tricks, daxi’s other tips are just as good if not better (They’re definitely better actually)
I have never spent money in Pokémon Go and I have been playing for about 1 and a half years. I am level 35 with 24 legendaries, 5 mythicals, 83 shinies, 10 ultra beasts, 2 shiny legendaries, 1 shiny shadow, 2-100%, and 1-0%
FYI you can speed up making your buddy excited by interacting with it every 15 minutes, not 30 minutes. If you interact every 15 minutes you can get your buddy excited in about an hour.
I actually like and use Nannab berries semi often. I use them on shadow Pokémon so I can just catch them quickly and move on. I also like to use them on stashed Pokémon because I can fly through it when I decide to empty it.
laughs in having family in a village of 100 where no one plays pokemon go with a gym that was empty for years before i started. Its the backbone if my pokecoins lmao
I Am ftp and can't go away from home as I have school and then Homework then also I have consistently played for 1 hour a day and still have made it to level 32 guys you don't need money to play u just need to belive
Me, my little brother and sister made a free little library at our house and we got lucky and it became a gym. We mine 50 pokecoins per day but unfortunately niantic screwed us over with the new raid pass update
i would reccomend using poke raid and then hosting on the day a new legendary is in raids then putting lucky egg down and then you can get stardust and exp
Evolve XP does cost you (for the 12 candy mons)! Because to be able to store enough Pokémon to get a couple hundred thousand xp within one hour you need plenty of storage, which does not come for free ;-)
Didn't know the legendary thing in PVP! I might try to get into PVP now thanks to that! Ps: Could we get an updated list of the best pokemon in PVP next please? lol
Not to get your hopes up, but rather just to set your expectations, I think you should just be aware that the legendary encounter rate in pvp is currently very low. It was a good way to get legendaries a few seasons ago, but Niantic nerfed the rate, partially in response to people complaining that they took too long to catch. Still, if you play enough and get up to the appropriate rank where you will be able to encounter legendaries, you will encounter them; but it's not very reliable. I still think it's still worth it, especially if you end up enjoying pvp, as it means you will probably get a few extra encounters that you otherwise wouldn't have had. And, if you do encounter them there, they won't run. Also, if you are looking to get into pvp, I would definitely check out PvPoke. They are a good free resource, which can tell you the top mons in each league, the matchups that each one wins, the timing and damage of different attacks, and there is a feature that lets you simulate how your team does against the meta for a certain league or cup. Best of luck!
Last season I got a shiny Rayquaza from Battleing, and the same thing happened this season. I was able to catch a shiny Lugia, definitely a good thing to do.
Most of what you're talking abt is what I took 4 yrs learning. I created a new acct 2 yrs ago and levled it to 40 in < 2 yrs with this grinding. Before remote raid passes got nerfed, I'd get a ton of xp through remote raids. 4 star raids are same 10k xp as 5 star.
Technically not free but buying comm day tickets for 1$ is way more worth in money for less than price of coffee. Slowpoke was way worth it as we got all evolutions and bunch of stuff. I m free to play but do buy those, and with gym coins I maxed out both storages
I have also figured out that a faster way to get your buddy exited is running a route a bit I’d like to say about 20 times and they are exited all day it’s great
free to play is good but just spend the 10 bucks to buy enough coins in the beginning to make your bag larger once you do that just do free to play and once in a while treat yourself to events that will yield Pokémon you wouldn't normally get other wise also the post card strategy is way under rated another tip I didn't see was local Facebook groups is a good place to farm for Pokémon go friends and raid groups
Tip: New players - dont catch 2. and 3. level pokemons that you dont have in the pokedex - evolve instead during 2x evolve bonus + lucky egg = 8000 xp per pokemon. This will really stack up😊
I am free player and I caught Lugia from PvP encounter yesterday :) Problem is that now I need a lot of candies, but if I win enough I will get rare candies from PvP as well.
@Poké Daxi Excited Pokémon Buddy Super Tip: You can get your Buddy excited faster by doing Feed/Play/Picture/Battle/Walk every 15 minutes, even if the game doesn't give you a heart, this works, I guarantee it. Additionally, you can speed up the Battle process by challenging a Team Leader and running from battle, it still counts towards getting your buddy excited. Doing this you can get your Buddy excited in less than an hour.

My two biggest tips for people building out stuff to raid with would be:
1) Don't sweat IVs too much.
Also, shadow pokemon, which are more expensive dust wise to power up but can be obtained for free, are typically some of the hardest hitters if you know what you're looking for.
thanks for the tips!
Im glad to hear that about perfect IVs being helpful but not absolutely necessary. I feel like I have more options in terms of things to power up now
I only disagree with the Pokemon storage vs item storage.
Y’all have friends? To play Pokémon with? In 2024??? Damn.
Great tips PokeDaxi. I've been mostly F2P since the big post-covid update but still buy event tickets for Tour and Go Fest. Last tour was meh but Go Fest was amazing.
Much love Daxi, glad to see your keeping your head high and seeing what you can do to help us!
Another FTP Tip, MEGAS:
Any time a new mega Pokemon comes out, do enough raids (usually only 2) to get the mega energy needed to mega evolve them.
Mega0-3 in the search bar
Mega0 shows eligible pokemon
Mega1-2 brings up pokemon you’re building towards Mega3; you can just scroll through daily and see which ones have finished cooldown.
Hopefully the box stays till the end of the season, so that I have enough for the next Go Fest and future Raid Days, maybe even the Sinnoh Tour.
you think sinnoh tour will be this summer or next winter?
@@axm7597 Sinnoh Tour will definitely be next February imo, since that's when they did Johto and Hoenn tours
Boxes are definitely great for ftp to get a good bang for thier buck
wait, what super raid box? what does it contain
The remote raid update is so frustrating bro
Is it bro? Tell me more bro. Because bro bro bro bro.

The video Nerfantic never wanted you to see. Nice job, Dax.
Yup - I have a video on autocatchers dropping soonish
@@pokedaxi can’t wait !😊
30 stardust per berry ;)
Its insane if you get around 15 pokemon in a gym which means you get up to 27'000 dust per 30 minutes depending how many pokemon are in a gym (Max is 6 but 5 if there's too many large pokemon)
There's a limit of 100 berries fed every 30 minutes. But still a good way to farm dust and XP (50 XP per berry as well).
It's not 27k by any chance... It's 3000 Stardust per 30 mins and eventually you will get a platinum madel for this also
@@jdeneau13 It's 10 berries per 30 minutes.
Not 100.
@@PSYCHOV3N0M Per pokemon, right. But you can feed 100 berries every 30 minutes, so 10 different pokemon.
What I love about this event is the shiny boosted Pokémon, it's a nice way to give a little more incentive to grind
i’ve already been doing a lot of these but man these are fire u rly the best pogo tuber man make the game so much better fr
As a current level 38 F2P player...the absolute hardest thing to do is grow the pokemon/bag storage by trying to get the 50 daily gym coins...the fact that there is a cap on storage is the dumbest part of the game.
Facts not a great implementation
It's the only reason why I'm forced to buy some PokeCoins
Brilliant video, one thing I will add
DO NOT EVOLVE STARTER POKEMON OUTSIDE OF THEIR COMMUNITY DAY / certain events!
The legacy moves they get are SO strong, it brings them from useless, to top raid counters most of the time!
But if you are doing pvp ,sceptile is an exception because leaf blade is actually a better option than frenzy plant .
Although I played this game since day 2 launched. Since the server were down during day one. I appreciate these types of videos you always make. Always learn something new regardless of the topic.
Glad I can still teach people :)
@@pokedaxi amen 🙏
I am ftp on only manual catch. I play everyday(almost) from day one without any specific target. Now i am at level 46 closing to 47. Most xp i get is from friendship.
I recently joined Pokémon go for the 2nd time after a couple years, and made a new account. Thank you for these tips and i’m glad I found this video.
You need only 45 to 50 mins to get your buddy excited by just walking 4 kilometer & completing all the other tasks and playing with him every 5 mins ... I do it every day for minimum 3-5 Pokemons 😍
I quit the game a while ago but still love when Daxi uploads
This helped me decide between item and pokemon storage, thanks alot.
I am bored of having to wait for a lucky trade in order to get an improved IVs shiny and then having to wait for when that Pokémon becomes relevant to power it up thanks to the ridiculous stardust prices per level near lvl 40.
hard agree
Dax, you are the best! Thanks for all of the great info!
A thing I fine very good when playing on a low budget is to do the scan quest that can come from pokestops and gyms. There are times they give 10 pokeball / 5 great ball / Poffin I personally go for the poffin for more easy friendship but the pokeball one has for sure saved me at times
I want to add Pidove which also evolve in 12 candies and mostly available every time and in every event
I synchronized my daily catch and special research rewards and claimed them at the same time I was getting ready to hatch 4 of the 10k eggs and earned almost 40,000 stardust this week on a star piece!
Thank you bro someone had to make this love this Chanel been watching for years!!!!
I'm actually f2p and live in a rural area, and here are more tips I got from other players or figured out:
-Try to hit excellent every single time on a Pokémon. (It saves you pokeballs cause the catch rate is higher, and you can get more xp. Also, good practice for 3x-exp-events)
-Open your gifts daily up to the limit. (It gives you a good amount of pokeballs and also per gift from a not maxed friendship player it gives around 1811 exp/gift or for the 50k and 100k on a lucky egg 3477 exp/gift. Make sure to use the "interactable" filter, so you level up your friendshiplevel)
-Use ar-mapping for stuff that you need. (When I go out playing, I always do one ar-mapping and upload it at home, so I can get like a puffin for free.)
-When feeding berrys to gyms, always keep like 10 of all left that you're feeding away. (If you are playing and want to use a Pinap Berry, you could missclick because you're missing a berry and waste a golden berry. Also keep a little of them for the task where you need to feed berries to Pokémon for an encounter.)
-open your gifts in the morning and send out in the evening. (You can save yourself some ultra or great balls cause of this, and so it's easier to send out gift for tasks. Always use "interactable" for more exp by sending gifts)
I hope at least one of the tips could help someone. Have fun playing, guys.
Berries fed at a gym is 30 stardust but 50 xp per berry
You can do 100 per 30 minutes and gain 3,000 stardust and 5,000 xp every 30 minutes when you have berries
If you’re fortunate enough to have a lot of bag space and you play in a large area with many pokestops chances are you will be able to feed berries often enough to keep them low in your item bag
Right now I have 800 nanab and 750 razz berries and I’m struggling to find gyms that people won’t kick me out of but I know how useful feeding them is in my rural area and know I have the time to do it so I’m holding off on deleting them until I hit an event where I have to
It’s worth noting that I live next to a church that is a gym and can reach it from my house so even though I live in a rural area I may have a bit of an edge over other players so don’t feel bad if you can’t do the berry tricks, daxi’s other tips are just as good if not better
(They’re definitely better actually)
Great tips, lots of good reminders in there for someone that is already lv50. Ķeep up the positive content.
Thank you I will!
Best helpful video I've ever watched for Pokemon go. Thx man
I have never spent money in Pokémon Go and I have been playing for about 1 and a half years.
I just realized today is my 1 year anniversary of playing pokemon go 🎉
Thank you daxi for the info much appreciated and I wasn't sure if the PokeCoins were still a thing for surveys thank you
I actually like and use Nannab berries semi often. I use them on shadow Pokémon so I can just catch them quickly and move on. I also like to use them on stashed Pokémon because I can fly through it when I decide to empty it.
Good to help excellent throws
Ah yes, that too!
5:45 and pidove. you always leave out the pidove, it’s the most common 12 candy evolution pokemon in my area
laughs in having family in a village of 100 where no one plays pokemon go with a gym that was empty for years before i started. Its the backbone if my pokecoins lmao
The PVP mechanic is SO underrated. I've gotten a Zamazenta and 4 Giratina from PVP in the last month. Definitely use PVP!
I Am ftp and can't go away from home as I have school and then Homework then also I have consistently played for 1 hour a day and still have made it to level 32 guys you don't need money to play u just need to belive
Hi pokedaxi good video you my favorite RUclipsr
Me, my little brother and sister made a free little library at our house and we got lucky and it became a gym. We mine 50 pokecoins per day but unfortunately niantic screwed us over with the new raid pass update
Thanks for this video, Pokedaxi! I'm a f2p player so this helps a lot
BEST Pokémon RUclipsr hands down!
Fortunately now u dont need to coord friendship lvls, it now literally asks u when u hgit new lvl if u wanna drop an agg
i would reccomend using poke raid and then hosting on the day a new legendary is in raids then putting lucky egg down and then you can get stardust and exp
Nice video and happy Easter!!!!🐣
Thanks so much, love your content
Evolve XP does cost you (for the 12 candy mons)! Because to be able to store enough Pokémon to get a couple hundred thousand xp within one hour you need plenty of storage, which does not come for free ;-)
pvp has been my saviour as a free to play player as they really help me get legendaries and i have even gotten a shiny ho oh from it
Didn't know the legendary thing in PVP!
I WOULD be spending money on this game, but not any more! I think this guide is going to be helpful to a lot of people lol
2:30 30 SD, 10 maximum/Pokemon. It can be sometimes capped up feeding when reached the certain limit
1:56 isnt that the clip from the april fools lagasorus clip
I saw buying the official auto catchers get you a mew if it’s unused does the same apply for off brands
Thanks for these tips Daxi and always helps.
I put some of these tips and help alot
I think I’ve spent like….. 150, maybe on the game. Level 38. Been playing since November ‘22. These tips will help a lot. Thanks.
Last season I got a shiny Rayquaza from Battleing, and the same thing happened this season. I was able to catch a shiny Lugia, definitely a good thing to do.
Is this Mystery encounter from pvp ?
I got a 96 shiny Giratina (origin) from PvP rewards ❤
Is it luck that legendarys show up or do you have to be a certain rank
Hey, and if I get rank 20 and dont get 3 wins then I have no encounter
Most of what you're talking abt is what I took 4 yrs learning. I created a new acct 2 yrs ago and levled it to 40 in < 2 yrs with this grinding. Before remote raid passes got nerfed, I'd get a ton of xp through remote raids. 4 star raids are same 10k xp as 5 star.
Technically not free but buying comm day tickets for 1$ is way more worth in money for less than price of coffee. Slowpoke was way worth it as we got all evolutions and bunch of stuff. I m free to play but do buy those, and with gym coins I maxed out both storages
When will you make an update on how to make pokestops video?
Thank you poki David for the awesome tips and tricks for beginners this well help me out a lot
5:30 I use my field research encounters that have boosted stardust for the 7th 1 catch of the day
Thanks for the info as always 👍🏾
I have also figured out that a faster way to get your buddy exited is running a route a bit I’d like to say about 20 times and they are exited all day it’s great
free to play is good but just spend the 10 bucks to buy enough coins in the beginning to make your bag larger
once you do that just do free to play and once in a while treat yourself to events that will yield Pokémon you wouldn't normally get other wise
also the post card strategy is way under rated
another tip I didn't see was local Facebook groups is a good place to farm for Pokémon go friends and raid groups
Thanks Daxi, you are so helpful!
Pidove is also 12 candy evolution. But, if you have 1000s of almost any Pokémon you can evolve them for XP greatness.
Cheers pokedaxi. I really like your videos
So timely! I have got to get on the Play Store credits train.
thank you for this, i usually try to spend minimal money on any f2p game i play .. and im trying to play POGO again :]
Tip: New players - dont catch 2. and 3. level pokemons that you dont have in the pokedex - evolve instead during 2x evolve bonus + lucky egg = 8000 xp per pokemon. This will really stack up😊
To get max pokecoins from gyms it’s actually 8 hours 20 minutes to get 50 coins. If you’re knocked out at 8 hours you only get 48 coins.
Your my favorite RUclipsr thanks for the tips
Watching this a year later when Lugia is the current available legendary is crazy 1:01
same thing i caught
Yah
For the pvp legendarys you you can get whatever is in the 5 stars as I got a shiny Guzzlord when the shiny dropped
I started today actually and yep pokemon go is so much fun!
Thanks so much, man! You are a legend!
1:05 I never knew that Pokémon had a chance if being shiny in pvp
I’m free to play since summer of 18. Lvl 48 with 1 million xp to lvl up. My item bag space is 400 and i have 1900 space for catches. Catch everything and evolve. Spend the coins from gyms on eggs and add people from discords for easy xp. Use free daily raid pass and toss berries in gyms. You don’t need 300 berries and charge tms.
Wow.
Rank 20 star dust from PVP goes crazy if you’re patient enough.
