When my dog was over run with cancer ( after 2 surgeries), I took her to her favorite river spot one last time to play fetch before taking her to be put down. She swam her heart out collasped on shore. She died in my arms, doing what she loved at her favorite place in the world.
This reminded me of her... sorry to be downer but thought id share... miss her and couldn't have asked for a better blessing

7 years ago my wife died of cancer left me with three dogs two were mine and one was her baby I am sitting here on the couch with her right now she has cancer she's terminal and not much more time I've loved her all I could since my wife passed away and I hope she has a good Voyage Over the Rainbow Bridge I can't cry anymore

I am so sorry for the loss of your wife, now to have to lose another love of your life, thats horrible. Dogs are like people, I lost two within 6 months each, poisoned by neighbors?? Never found out who? When we die, our beloved dogs will be waiting for us on the other side of the Rainbow Bridge. Things will be ok.
I'm sorry for your loss. Just know, your wife is waiting for her to cross the rainbow bridge. When your time comes, and you're called home, they'll both be waiting to welcome you. She's been blessed to have a human that loves her so much. She's lived a great life. Remember the good times. I lost my Sunny girl, very suddenly, last year. I can't wait to cross the rainbow bridge to pick her up when I'm called home.

Our babies are our family. I found my recent dog on a highway. Someone had kicked her out of their car. I didn't have a second thought about jumping out of my car to stop traffic. I finally got her in my car and she's living the life she deserves with me. This story reminds me of what we do for our babies. It made me cry.😢😢😢😢😢
You have a good heart to risk your own life to save this poor dog that these nasty cruel people had done kicking him out onto the middle of the road to be killed without mercy

Thanks to all the people that understand that a dog is part of the family. My wife have been married 43 years and have had rescue dogs the whole time. Having to put them down when it’s their time to cross over is one of the hardest things we have ever had to do. I’m glad you were able to save your dog and hope he will give you years of companionship and happiness.Bless you all. 🙏🇺🇸🦅

I agree I’m so in love with all animals we have been married 37 years and the whole time we have been blessed with dogs and cats and we treat them like children we’ve been right there when they cross over! I don't own a dog because it's a matter of choice. I know they are a loving family member because mine got hit by a car, and I couldn't go to work that night because he was at the vet awaiting my decision to put him down. I will never forget the wailing screams of pain from him. They told e they would make him comfortable. I finally gave them the ok in the morning. My daughter was devasted. They sent me a sympathy card from the vet office.

Not gonna lie but I thought the same thing as well. I know that Arizona has no Gator so I was thinking what happened to the dog.
Like I have never seen a dog act like that before so it had to be health related. Think God the owner was able to grab his dog before anything else happened.
This brings me to tears. I lost my dog 1/5 years ago, one of his favorite things was going to the lake. Our last walk before having the vet come out was at the lake. So glad you were able to save your boy.
The dog was clearly in trouble before he rolled over in the water. Good thing he began to breathe again in his pawrent's arms!❤

Not that long ago, a cat got hit by a car right in front of us in the middle of the night. They didn’t stop to help or anything, but we hit the breaks, I jumped out of the car, took him into my arms and, luckily for us, my husband is a vet - he saved this cat‘s life that night. We’ve been inseparable ever since, he‘s the sweetest kitty ever and I‘m always touched, when I watch videos like this, it kind of restores my faith in humanity, at least a little bit.❤

We took our golden camping. We camped beside a river where she spent a week doing her favorite thing. Playing in the water. She couldn't get enough of it. Two days after we came home, she laid in our orchard and peacefully died. We were so glad we had those days playing. Still miss her. I'm glad yours had a happy ending.
Thank you, ❤my boy has heart disease and I have been keeping him on this strict diet, because the doctor says he has to lose weight if he is going to live longer. He spits his meds out and I just struggling with it all right now. I lost my sweet girl, which was his little "wife" last year after weeks of being sick. Now I can get him to take his meds because I give him cookies, now their dog cookies but I don't care. And I don't care what the vet says but I will feed him the food I make for him and I try to keep him relaxed but it's just so hard. When he goes out to bark in the yard and he comes back in and he can barely breathe.,, I want to cry😢 I'm sorry I'm just so emotional tonight

My heart just dropped and got so emotional watching that sweet dog. I bawled like a big baby in fact. I have no car and my cat Sammy had a stroke resulting seeing her drag her back legs. She didn't want to eat or drink. Tho I tried to assist her in making her comfortable. She passed away in the morning in my arms. As if waiting til I woke. I put a pillow down with a towel over top. As I picked my baby girl up using the towel. I stroked her cheek and told her it's OK. It was within that moment she took her final breaths. I'll forever miss my sweet Sammy.

Omg!! God bless you. When I saw the look on your dog’s face my heart sank!! God love you that you were so fast and strong enough to grab your baby. Any size pup when they are soaking wet is so heavy!! My Maltese pup fell in our pool and it took everything I had to get him out of the water!! It was very early one morning and my husband was in the shower, thank God my neighbor heard my horror in my voice and came running!! Between the both of us we saved him!! God love your baby, I’ll never forget that look on your pup’s face ❤️🩹, I hope the pup is doing well ❤️!!

This was a yellow lab, and they were bred to retrieve hunted game from water, such as ducks. It’s in their blood, and their bodies have adapted to be nearly perfect in the water. Just like for people, accidents and unexpected medical events can happen with dogs whether they’re in water or on land.
They're like little children, no matter how BIG they are ! Thank God you were there ! You can never leave them unattended. 😢😊 What a beautiful boy !! 🙏🙏🙏😊

I used to say the same of my cat that I had for 14 years. The pet WILL pass on someday, the solution is to get another before too much time has passed. I mourned three months, my parents mourned a couple weeks before they got their next buddies.
It's so hard to loose a service animal =family but what others don't understand is that it isn't as easy to replace a family=service animal. Because of the specific special training that the have to go through for your medical needs. It makes it also a mental trauma of how are you going to keep going while the loss of a loved one that was relied on for all things you cant do for yourself. Mine almost madebit to 15 years and i shut down but kept on doing the stuff for my family out of reflex, and my husband still 5 years later doesn't understand that i still have the problems i had back then and still have and more now. It's just hard. I'm sorry, but it's smarter to prepare than go through limbo.

I remember when this first happened and the owner generously replied to all concerned that the dog was indeed OKAY and that he even took the dog to the vet to check for second drowning/when water is still in the lungs! Never knew anything about this until he mentioned it. Great owner who loves his dogs right there. Taught me something along the way that I didn’t know too. My respect for this man is great. Having just lost my service dog, hearing this dog fight for breath and gagging on water, I knew that dog was in big trouble and my heart sank. This many gave me back some faith in humanity.
It's called dry drowning because the person or animal is out of the water but they have taken on water ie in the lungs 🫁.

Thank you. I also didn't know that. I have a 2 year old potty mix not on the bright side. But big and sweet. He's about 90 lbs. Gives kisses to everyone especially HIS grandbabies. I lost my Best Friend Molly this summer. She was an Australian Sheperd. I got her from a farm in Wertz, Va. Not too far from my home. Pups were listed in local paper 4 $200 each. My youngest Son & I headed out & after 2hours finally found it. I told my Son to pick out 1st one that came to him. The man ended up giving her to us. My older Son & me trained her and she was best dog I ever had. She died this summer with her head in my lap as I stroked her & told her what a good girl she was. We buried her in our back yard & I put flowers on her grave from my garden every year. I still call for her to come play ball.😢
I had to cry at this story. My best friend and pet Lacey was a red Merle. Sharp as a tack and so well trained. Her first owner had a stroke. No one in his family wanted her. They dropped her off at the Humane Society. Another guy adopted her. She had to be mourning her first companion. The second guy, decided after 2 months he didn't want her. The wife's dog "didn't get along with Lacey". The first time we met her, she wasn't a very happy dog, no lie. But she would play ball, fixated as they get. The young guy said we were the first family, of 4 others to see her that she took interest in. She went home with us. She was only 2. She came out of her shell, had the best life she ever could have in her forever home finally. We loved her to death. She could do all the typical tricks, plus flip. She passed away at 15. The vet could do nothing more for her when she jumped to lean her paws on my waist to greet me when I came home. Her rear feet slid along the laminate and took her down, hurting her hip/leg. She couldn't walk. Allowing her to be put to sleep was the absolute hardest, most heartbreaking thing I had ever had to do, after every possible treatment t they would offer for 2 weeks. I grieved for a very long time. That was 8 years ago. I now have another Aussie. I will never own another breed again.

Oh my gosh. My heart DROPPED when I saw her sink! This is terrifying. I am SO happy he reacted quickly and was able to save her in time. I literally held my breathe until I saw she was fine. I can't imagine his terror in that split second!

Naww im sorry. My french bull mastiff went sideways one night a few months ago and he was trying to walk to me tail wagging and just went sideways then started siezing. I satwith him all night while he vomited water he kept drinking and he couldnt walk and i had no money for a vet. The next day he was walking wonky but the day after that he ben fine since. I think he ate a poisoned rat. He wasnt in pain but he was confused and kept trying to follow me everywhere really clingy. Either ate a poisoned rat or something bit him. Hes ok now but i think hes a lil slow from it ever since.

My doggo died because of seizures two years ago. I can feel your pain. It's so heartbreaking to not be able to stop it, even with medication... I'm still not over it. I keep replaying it in my head, what could have I done different. Still waiting for time to ease the pain...
@@MissemekaI’m not sure where you live but you can look into pet insurance, try to put some aside a little at a time for an emergency, or try a gofundme. I know the feeling but after my pet had a seizure and died in my arms after being sick for a while, I regret everyday that I didn’t take her to the vet. I would have preferred eating out of dumpsters to afford taking her to a vet. It broke my heart 💔 I haven’t been able to get another pet. The few animals that I rescued I found better homes for.

Expose animals in smaller creeks or places where they can touch the ground at first. A 17 year old dog can easily drown due to age and other factors.

True. Once I was carrying a backyard cat to the vet when we realized he was hurt. I took him inside to check him out but he had a seizure & on the way to the vet he died in my arms. When he went limp, I lost it. I never experienced something like that before. Glad this dog was ok.

I looked like a panicked parent breaking my neck to get to the vet with barely any money in my pocket, no insurance and a dream. Me paso en muchas oportunidades, revivía a nuestro Chihuahua, se ahogaba y se desplomaba y yo le daba respiración artificial a través de mis dos manís juntas, un 24 de diciembre fuimos a cenar donde un familiar y regresamos el 25 y fue horrible verlo muero en la cama de mi hijo y los gritos de negación de mi hijo... creo que nunca lo superamos, fue una pérdida
