Your guitar collection rules! I hope Sam Ash closing doesn't affect you negatively, Marty. 🤘
Thanks! Nah man... I've been able to keep the dream alive elsewhere. It was a good ride but truthfully it was time to go anyways.
Set up videos are great. I set my own up but i like watching other people technique and tricks.
Marty, you are a great teacher. Just accept it my man!
Thank you!
Thanks for taking time for this, and I really appreciate that you explained that your main "peddle" or "effect" are your hands and picking dynamics. Many folks seem to forget that little trick. I can get real close to Unchained without pedals using that little trick. Rock On! 🍻🎸🤟
My pleasure! It's very true... something that you find out as your style develops and through experience. 😎🎵🎵🎵
One of the best out there....I have learned so much since discovering and becoming a member. Keep it going Marty!
You rock man. Very kind my man. Thank you 😎🎵
You know Marty, anytime someone thinks their way to do something is the ABSOLUTE best way, they're being closed-minded and not willing to learn. The best teachers are always great students. 🎸
Marty. Thanks again for all you do. Guitar players like me appreciate your down to earth, easy to understand approach. You’re the best thing on RUclips for guitarists like me
Thanks you so much man. I am honored. 😎🎸
Absolutely fantastic have a wonderful day also a fantastic weekend ❤😊
New to your channel. Really appreciate your lessons! Hope you have more Q&A episodes.
More to come!
Thanks for your insights man! I agree about Wolf getting some vault stuff out there. It would be awesome to hear some 'lost music'!!
You got it!
Thanks for everything Marty. I've been out of town without cell signal so didn't come up with any questions this time. I'm kinda lame about that stuff anyhow but usually try.
No worries man!! 🤟🏻🎸
Thanks for ALL infos....
Waiting for TONEX review
On the way 🤟🏻😎
@@Ranch5150SkinWalker yes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!🙏
The trick to soldering to pots is having a hot enough iron same with the ground wire on the claw you have to have a hot enough iron.😎
You're 100% right. And scrape the pot a little and used lead based solder. That stuff works awesome. My soldering iron gets up to 500 degrees according to the gage. It's like a light saber. 😂
Hey Marty just wanted to say thanks for answering my questions the intro to Mean Street is a butt kicker for me the rest of the song is doable I know you did a lesson on that I guess I gotta sit down and commit to getting that down peace out man 👍🤘👏🎸👽
You're very welcome. Thanks for asking a question!
This is really good stuff. Thanks for sharing.
You're very welcome! I'm just grateful to have awesome base of viewers and have an outlet to put this stuff out. Much appreciated man!
@@Ranch5150SkinWalker Bro, you have the awesome base because you are an awesome dude ! Rock on !
How about some amusing stories from gigs? I like hearing about when things go pear shaped. It's always fun to hear how someone dodged the bullet. And even better when they go down with the ship.
That's would be a fun video to make. I totally need to do that! 😁🤟🏻
Really liked this video, thanks!
Thanks for all that you do for us Marty, I really enjoy all of your videos, this one in particular. Keep 'em comin'!
Paul Sanders
Thank you kindly man. I appreciate it. More to come! 🎸🎵
Marty I love that large Kramer sign you have! That's way cool! Awesome video, thanks for sharing everything. I've got an older Line6 PODHD500 pedalboard and playing live I feel I get a very very close 90s VH Tone with Pitch Glide +1 with all of the other goodies added. Marty you are a great guitar teacher. I've recommended your videos to quite a few guitarists man. Thanks for everything. 👍🏻
The POD is great man! And you're welcome dude. I really appreciate your continued channel support and commentary 😎🎸
Cool video. Interesting to hear about your future plans and that YT makes up a significant amount of your income. I enjoy editing videos, but not being a big talker, I tend to freeze up when I make videos. Lol
Awesome! Thank you!
Great video
Seymour Duncan 78 is fantastic for classic rock
Truth !
Your channel is great Marty, and I just hope that it keeps on quickly growing.
Wow, I didn't know that you had that Friedman Tele. Hope that you will take it out for a spin on the channel 😉.
Thanks for answering my question. There's been some awesome bootleg EVH stuff coming out all over the Internet lately 👌.
Thanks again man. Yeh the Friedman Vintage T is a real workhorse man. She can do just about anything. It's not a typical Tele of course but man the 70's teles were so cool. I went through a P90 phase a few years ago and had to get it being a huge Friedman fan. Never regretted it. I snagged it off the GC website for $1500.... no case or coa but it's still amazing.
Seems like every other day I'm seeing more cool VH content pop up. Long live the King man! I love it.
@Ranch5150SkinWalker That's a really good price man. That's about £1.150 here, the cheapest one that I've seen online here is £1.800 about 2.300 USD.
A big bargain.
I have Fujigen factory made tele rosewood fretboard , and swamp ash body with an ibuia veneer finish and 2 seymour duncan humbuckers.
Love it 😀
Another great video Marty, and thanks for sharing.
I have a question, albeit too late, but nevertheless here it is…
“Apart from the EV signature Axis, what other Music-Man guitars do you have (if any)? I am a huge fan of EB MM… …in fact I sold all of my non MM guitars and now my collection is exclusive EB MM. As a prof player, why is it that they are not more popular?
I’ve been surfing RUclips for some WASP and DIO guitar lessons and there are hardly any out there. Is that something you could do.
I just did a Rsinbow lesson this evening going up Friday 🎵
Any thoughts on the new Friedman Plex
It sounds great! I reached out to Dave to send me to demo ...but yeh... lol. Probably a long shot.
I cannot help but laugh when a pick up question is asked and Dimarzio doesn't even get a mention!🤣 I mean the super distortion is on just about every record from the 70s and early 80's not to mention the PAFpro's that Gilbert,Vai and Satch used in the 80's in their ibanez guitars!
I've played Dimarzio and have a Jem and a a Satch. I just don't like the tone of a Dimarzio as much as a Duncan, Gibson or even a Bare Knuckle. They are nice though 😬🤟🏻
Love every video, and dig everything you do……what are your thoughts on subscribers sending in pics of their rigs like the old magazines did? That would be cool
Great idea. I need to get something like that going! Sounds like a blast.
