Great review from a user's point of view. Thinking of buying one myself for use in HK but concerned over uneven hard floor and pets. How does it handle in those aspects? Also, what were some other brands you considered before choosing this one(just for comparison)?
+Alan Yu Personally I think hard floor/cement floor should be fine. i dont have those but my floor tiles have lot of gaps and it still managed to vacuum it up. as for pets, i dont have any. according to philips, these are what they said: All of our products are designed to alleviate and extract up to 99% of allergens in the home; including dust, pet hair and dust mites which lead to allergies. so should be fine if you have pets. i did reviewed a bosch cordless (a year ago) before. both philips and bosch have the lit ion battery 18v, so their batteries life is the same. so if i want to buy a cordless vacuum cleaner, I will look at the function, like this philips is anti allergen, battery life (some brands only last for 20 min etc), the vacuum header (this philips is slim head with better reach under sofa, bed etc), the weight of the machine (cos after vacuum for a long time, arm will get aching)....... i would much prefer philips powerpro duo (please check my video review) as my kids can use the handheld to vacuum, half the weight of this etc. i like this one powerpro aqua except i dun use the mop much as my floor is laminate, cant have lot of water, otherwise my floor will rot or expand. if you have lot of hard floor, then will be great for you! hope this help.
+Eileen Teo (ET Speaks From Home) Tks so much for your honest user opinion. The only other consideration for this powerpro aqua is whether it has strong suction, what do you think? Really enjoy watching your reviews on other products.
+Alan Yu yes, i think the suction is good. it is good on carpet which i like it. the container is small, so u do need to empty it often. also washing the filter is very easy and dry quickly.
Is it worth buying FC6409/01 model instead? It comes with extra lighter mop (less wet) and with mini turbo brush. Are these things useful/practical? Or better stick with FC6408/01 model?
Hi, if I need to urgently vacuum something and this vacuum cleaner has not been charged, can I plug in the vacuum cleaner and use it while it is plugged into the power?
Highestnoble I just rub it off and rinse it with water. Dry for 24 hours. The layers of dust can be so disgusting. Best to rub it off first before you wash it. Otherwise it will block your sink.

Hi, I haven’t seen fc 6409 yet but they look good with the extra bits.
I find the mop is useless in uk and I don’t use that at all.
Hi, might I know if this able vacuum dust mites from mattress?
No.
Hi, if I need to urgently vacuum something and this vacuum cleaner has not been charged, can I plug in the vacuum cleaner and use it while it is plugged into the power?
Simon Chan no, you can't. It won't work once it is charging.
