For those who don’t know, Touch of Flame aspect gives solar grenades little lava globs that shoot out. Since they have nowhere to go, they fall straight down and can be set up ahead of time.
Only things I don't really understand: is it just the little lava glob damage that is dropping her HP so hard or is it Scorch/Ignition damage? Is that also why his Super regenerates so fast?

Glad to see sunbracers seeing some more love. I've switched off Starfire to sunbracers for general play because the 2x resto with constant solar nade spam is insane for high mob density activities. Plus, you don't have to be confined to an empowering rift or well. Still have to switch to Starfire for dps during some scenarios though because you need adds around for sunbracers to be effective.
I love that I saw one person do this a couple weeks ago, and since then its been recommended to me 100 times now. Love seeing people still bullying Riven.

If I remember correctly, they don’t work properly with the celestial fire melee. Maybe try using the incinerator snap melee to activate the sun racers perk instead?

After trying it myself, a couple of notes for anyone who wants to give it a shot: - Throw your grenades straight and high. It took me hours of wondering why my grenades weren't doing nearly as much DPS as Eso's here until I finally realized that A: I was throwing them slightly to the side (preventing as many lava globs from hitting Riven), and B: I was throwing them too low (preventing as many lava globs from *spawning* to hit Riven). Make sure you throw them above the center of the wall, and when in doubt, aim higher, never lower. - Speed should be your first priority. Master your movement to navigate the arena as fast as possible, from there you can optimize your strategy further. Once I did that, I discovered that I was able to reach Riven's spawn location *too* quickly, which really hammered home exactly what Eso means by "you have plenty of room for error." - I used a Volta Bracket (Strand agressive sniper) with Explosive Payload and Without Remorse (Solar lightweight shotgun) with Vorpal after last stand to pop Riven's heart (Vorpal didn't trigger, so don't worry about that). It popped after 6 shots from the sniper and 14 from the shotty, which was done from a healing rift so no damage boost from well. Just to give you an idea that you're not totally screwed if you don't have a Heritage with Recon/Recomb, you just need to be a little crafty with your loadout to compensate. - Speaking of weapons, the only weapon you should be using short of last stand is Tractor Cannon. You should largely ignore every other add other than triggering Sunbracers. Personally, I used by solar shotgun to take out the taken captain to prevent it from getting in my way, but I also optimized my runs to account for that preference. After that, find a safe place to hide and swap to Lament for last stand. By doing this, the only ammo you should be using is your heavy and the like 6 shots you use to take out the taken phalanxes in the ascendant plane, leaving you more than enough to pop the heart.
This is heartwarming to see. Always love a good boss melt with sunbracers. I wish more people would be willing to tdy it since it has a higher damage ceiling than starfire.
Starfire has way more damage potential than sunbracer by a mile. The reason it works here is because Riven is a massive boss and the solar nades are intersecting multiple hitboxes causing the solar nades to do bugged damage.
they must of removed a fog barrier or something with lightfall, so now every ascendant plane area is looking a lil funky seeing other loadzones from below
The Transcendent Blessing mods do matter. my run i could do perfecty but still not do enough damage. the extra 100 damage per tick adds up very quickly

Another Reason why Warlock is the best class doing things like this while looking so Graceful like a Swan gliding over waters surface. Plus the Greatest Destiny 2 RUclipsr to grace the destiny 2 stage @Esoterickk you commander are a testament to what Omni Tier Player.

Dont know if one phase is possible for other bosses but the idea of stacking these for gigantic damage is possible in pretty much any boss fight with ads around. If you can get it to work then the damage rivals or exceeds starfire protocol (for the 10 seconds that the grenades exist) while still letting you use your weapon
To name a few: golgoroth, sisters, oryx, taniks, atraks, and morgeth. The two factors to look for are realtovely stationary, and chonky model or roof above the head.

I never got why they didnt just massively increase rivens health and also increase the damage you do to her weak spots to make people do the encounter normally.

I guess it's been patched cause I do the same thing without the transcedent blessing, my nades dealing 50% or 60% less damage than yours and I'm getting her only to about 85% hp.

I consider myself a pretty seasoned veteran in LW as i think ik basically everything there is to know in this raid but i have not seen anything like this ever. I suspect its something to do with the audio as you didnt have a clear view of the window but im wondering what type/which sound is the queue to tell you if riven is there or not

Nope, nezzy doesn't fill the sunbracers criteria at all, he's an alright size but there's not always a lot of ads in snap range, and he's a bit mobile too If he had a ceiling above him it could be good

Agreed. Two phased galhran in my solo flawless run mostly from stacking sunbracer grenades in a corner and pushing him into them with a sword

Sunbracers + touch of flame makes the grenade last 10 seconds and since it has no cooldown you can just spam it as long as you can activate it

A little bit of both, it’s just a very specific set up, you need a massive boss with a roof above its head, plus some adds

Jump when you kill anything. The Heat Rises aspect will give you melee energy on any kill while airborne, even if it is just a singular jump.
