If that’s a Mini, I’ll eat my hat!! My father had the first ever Austin Seven Mini in Winchmore Hill!! Great little car, but we needed something bigger for camping.
At the moment, I drive a Renault Zoe. Although I would drive an early Austin 7 Mini, it would never be my everyday car. My father bought one at the 1959 London Motor Show and collected it from the Green Dragon Garage in Winchmore Hill.
I've driven proper mini cooper s minis, 850s, 1100s, 998s, even paddy Hopkirk's 1966 works cooper s and none of these bloated German minis are anything but a cynical marketing exercise.
@@metricstormtrooper Absolutely!! There were so many people who hated the original Mini that the company had to sell out to the Germans!! To me, the only good thing about the current BMW Mini is that an electric version is available.

I hope you’re hungry!
Who needs a little crampy car nowadays?
The Austin Mini Countryman was an estate car version of the Austin Seven Mini!! It was never a Sports Utility Vehicle!!
I wonder what is going on at RUclips Towers. A lot of the videos that I watch are coming through as double speed.
Answer: Not when it has broken down or in the workshop (again) being fixed.
And it still isn’t a proper Mini!! That’s much smaller, had an 850cc engine or a 998cc engine and was a great choice for the lady driver!!
Well said!
So what?Would you like to drive one daily?

And the real Mini never got an electric boot lid, leather interior or a diesel or electric option.
Nor needed them, these "mini" things are just fashion statements for people who like cars that massage their egos, they're Shite.
