Doing both . Selling the steam deck to buy the ally
I'm doing the same thing 😂😅.
Got my preorder in, i have a deck and a original and oled switch. Want the ally for more demanding aaa games the deck struggles on and especially game pass. I think freesync is a game changer it will smooth gameplay out i think its range is 40-120hz. I know everyone is complaining about battery life but at 15 watts your getting about the same as the deck and i play my handhelds on a couch plugging it in isn’t a problem. And i think with every update it will get better and better im pretty pumped for it.
I think I might get this, and let my son take his switch home.
I’m sure your son will be happy to hear this
Lol
I'd your son doesn't live with you. Your priorities are fucked up. Worried about a gaming handheld instead of your son growing up sad in a broken home because you want to chase 🐈 🐈⬛️ 😺 🐱

we need a new ps vita with backwards compatibility ❣️
You can emulate all PS vita games on this device, just as you can on a PC.
This actually got me back into gaming. It's what the Switch should have been in regards to performance.

I bought one. Picking it up from Best Buy on Tuesday.
Me too! 🎉
Looks like I’ll be installing virus protection on it then 😂
Is that a bad thing?😊
Virus protection? Don’t go browsing shady areas of the internet. I haven’t used an antivirus on my windows devices since windows 10 came on the scene. Windows defender is built in and does a fantastic job. I work in IT, and I can assure you people get viruses and malware from unsafe browsing habits. Viruses don’t just pop out of nowhere on your computer.
Yes! This device shouldn’t be running windows! Half the processing will most likely spent on AV scans!
Just dont click random porn links and you'll be fine
The wait is on I ourchased mine. HOPE THEY DONT TELL ME THEY ARE SOLD OUT THE DAY BEFORE IT SHIPS OUT!!!
I will just buy this and use it as my powerful pc.. That should save me over $2K
I preordered this but if your wanting it for a pc experience might as well get a laptop for $700..unless your like me and don’t care about money or really just want a hand held pc..
Can't wait to buy mine.

Been holding off on a steam deck for a while now and this may be worth considering as an alternative now! 😮
Thus exactly y I been holding out on the deck. I wanna make sure I spend my money on the right handheld.
Thanks for the review my friend. Definitely buying this over the steam deck.
I'm staying with my Steam Deck for now, Valve really supports the OS and haven't really seen great software support come out of Asus... especially lately lol.
Yeah this is going to tank honestly. Stick with a community supported tech and not the shiny new object - you will find everlasting joy.
@C M lol no its not gonna tank. That price tag and the hardware it comes with is a steal.

@@ariloiola These ally’s are cheaply built. They feel that way in the hand. Steam deck is the future. Asus is a cheap hardware manufacturer. Plus I’ve heard these things are buggy as hell.

@@paolobustos3132 You’re a liar. Asus makes cheap hardware garbage. These things feel Chinese in the hand. Plus they got bugs all over the place. And if you think Asus is going to fix them, you’re wrong. Steak deck feels premium. And their constant updates prove they have a vested interest in taking over the portable gaming market. Seems insane, if it performa
Nintendo tryna play catch-up at this point
Eh not really. Nintendo doesn’t need it cus the money they make. Be nice if did have another product tho
No need as Nintendo has 35 games, for the Switch, that has sold at least 1 million copies. They're printing money right now. If they were to make some games for other consoles / PC, they'd need some help printing money.
This is not Nintendo’s market their consumer base isn’t spending $600 for console they don’t need the most powerful console. Their consumer base wants something affordable and good gameplay they don’t care about the latest graphics power and specs
Oh yeah I’m getting this. No doubt.

Sony version needs a ps5 & to be connected at all times.

Sony is a big monopoly. They only wanna create a streaming device because they failed with the PS Vita

It’s too bad a large percentage of people are reporting the buttons getting stuck pressed down🤦🏻♂️ what a small thing to mess up an entire experience
That was an earlier issue that Linus tech tips even pointed out but all the reviewer‘s are saying they fix that now so they shouldn’t be sticky buttons. Asus even said they address to the issue.
