Zelensky didn't try to prevent the conflict through diplomacy because he lacks honor and integrity.
In 2014 there was a coup. Soon after, there was a massacre in Odessa (dozens of people were burned alive). Ethnic Russians living in Ukraine were treated as subhuman. Their language and culture was being oppressed. A civil war broke out due to the rise in ethnic tensions. For 8 years the Ukrainian military was indiscriminately shelling civilians living in Donbas.
If Zelensky honored the Minsk agreement and pledged neutrality, none of this would have happened. The 8 year civil war would have ended and Donbas would have remained part of Ukraine. War is the ultimate failure of diplomacy.
Zelensky, Poroshenko, Merkel and Hollande admitted that Ukraine had no intention to honor the Minsk agreements.
Who didn't want peace? Who advised against the 2022 peace talks in April? Hint: someone visited Zelensky in Kiev at that time.
Russia's national security was compromised once NATO began to expand eastwards. Russia clearly stated that Ukraine joining NATO was a red line (November 2021) and unfortunately this concern was never taken seriously. The Russians openly stated: if nothing changes, we will be forced to act in order to defend our national security. Enhancing the national security of one country at the expense of another is unacceptable. The Russians have legitimate security concerns.
20th September, 2021: Ukraine launched military drills with US and NATO.
NATO is not a defensive alliance. NATO illegally bombed Yugoslavia (a direct violation of the U.N. Charter).
We should never forget what they did to Libya, Afghanistan, Iraq etc.
Who blew up the pipeline causing an environmental disaster?
Zelensky banned all opposition and arrested a leading priest.
Zelensky tried to invoke article 5 under false pretenses. Remember the incident in Poland.
Ethnic Russians living in Ukraine were treated as subhuman. Their language and culture was being oppressed.
Poroshenko said, “Our children will go to schools and kindergartens-theirs will hide in the basements”.
Russians will never forget the 2014 Odessa massacre. The whole world needs to know about it.
Why was Denis Kireev eliminated? He was a member of Ukraine's negotiating team during the peace negotiations. He wanted to help his country.
Ukraine has a hit list. They target artists, journalists and ordinary citizens. Hundreds of children are on this list. 13 year old Faina Savenkova was placed on this list.
Pink Floyd's Roger Waters is on this list. Jimmy Dore (American stand-up comedian, podcaster) and Aaron Maté (Canadian writer and journalist) are on this list.
There is evidence that Ukrainian troops have been indiscriminately shelling civilians in Donbas (they used petal mines and targeted areas where there was no military presence).
The azov troops trapped in the azovstal steelworks in Mariupol used human shields. They refused to allow civilians to leave despite of humanitarian corridors being present.
Russia held a proposed cease fire in order for the civilians to leave, but azov would not allow the civilians to leave.
Ukraine has committed many acts of terrorism (car bombs and other forms of assassination). Darya Dugina (journalist) R.I.P.
The first terrorist attack on the Kerch bridge killed the truck driver and the individuals in the adjacent car (innocent civilian victims).
The second terrorist attack on the Kerch bridge killed two parents and severely injured their young daughter.
I have done a lot of research and it took me a long time to write this comment. I have stated a lot of facts and I have given my honest opinion.
I have provided a brief summary of events that took place. In order to explain this whole situation in great detail, a book would need to be written.
Hopefully someone will write an UNBIASED book, stating facts and allowing the readers to form their own judgments. Everything I said can be fact checked and verified...

Its not about having "weapons" or money.. its about having your entire mentality and the way you structure your economy, infrastructure, mindset and many other systems that work together to win. You think that it is not by design that Russia uses concrete for most of their buildings? You think its not by design that Moscow is surrounded by an equivalent of 1000 great walls of China in the form of 40 story flats? You don't think its by design they have a metro system that could be used for both civilian and military use? You don't think its by design they keep the memory in the Russians mind fresh of war by making war part of their culture? You don't think its by design that they conscript their entire male population to keep them always thinking about war and conflict? To always keep them aware of all global geopolitics to always be ready? You think its not by design they use equipment that is easily mass produced and can out number any western weapons? You think its not by design the way they utilize their natural recourses? You think its not by design they have the strongest nuclear capabilities especially if considering defense? You think its not by design that they have good relations with many countries in the world? You think its not by design they try to keep their word? You think its not by design the way they build international relations? You think its not by design their military production is not privatized?
You think its not by design etc?
The west has too many factors that would make it a non competitor if it came to a direct conflict with Russia. The best they could do is run away and try again in another 50-100 years.

Russia will never trust "words" again. Negotiations, if they ever did happen would be physical changes. Russia would demand total military dominance and bases in exchange for territory and Ukraines own governance of the area.
It will have to be actual on ground changes, not a "treaty", which at this point is meaningless.

WoW. Excellent dialogue. I had no Idea that the Akhmat Division was a rapid support force, I also had no idea that they were at Kursk power plant BEFORE Ukra-NATO forces crossed the border. However, other analysts have clear evidence that NATO personnel were part of the initial 1000 assault force leading the beach head of the incursion. Syrskyi may not have been involved in planning due to Azov, Kraken & other Banderite battalions allegiance to Zaluzhnyi but he Must have known something was up simply due to the re-allocation of equipment & man power. As for NATO, O they planned the whole thing from a JSOC JTAC special ops perspective.

One can not go back to previous suggestions in how to settle the war.
Beyond Ukraine, Russia do not trust US and the collective west. Not only that, the war has changed the whole Russian society.
The Oblast that did their referendum will be integrated with Russia, all the reconstructions that are in progress in them is because of this integration. Not only that , more Oblast will go through the same process.
My prediction is that the Dneipr River will be the new border between Ukraine and Russia. Everything east of the Dneipr River will be integrated with Russia.

In ww2, the bankers who funded Hitler were more successful because of the industrial revolution, and not everyone had tech, so the ones who had more of it would win (or do well, in Russia's case, they had to sacrifice a lot of manpower to overcome the tech). Today, they have an even less advantage and they will soon understand that their "money" has only so much power. Money corrupts, and corruption is not effective. Ideology, human spirit, moral high ground and motive are always going to win when tech is on par. But yet they are in an even worse situation because even their tech is not as good. I'm not talking about individual pieces of tech but rather the entire system of production, maintenance and sustainability. Its all been corrupted by greed and capitalism. They will die by their own hand.
God bless Russia and China, and hopefully the next Empire, is better than the previous. This has generally been true throughout human history. With time, humanity tries different things and learns from past mistakes. Very slow to learn, but generally things have gotten better for the masses throughout history.

Moise Dayan. As you have sown
So shall you reap. You had sown destruction. You had stolen. It shall be returned.
There shall one day be Palestinian children running and playing in the streets of a land which again will be called The Holy Land.
Their homes and villages will be rebuilt.
Exiled Palestinians will be allowed to return.
A war-torn land which suffered death, starvation, torture, unjust imprisonment for a hundred years
will serve as a beacon of faith in a God of justice and mercy.
    For these gifts we pray.
    Let there be
ENLIGHTENMENT COME SO THAT THOSE WHO HAVE SINNED AGAINST THE LAWS OF GOD WILL SEE THE ERRORS OF THEIR WAYS.
    ESPECIALLY THESE:
    THOU SHALL NOT MURDER YOUR
    BROTHER.
    THOU SHALL NOT STEAL.
    THOU SHALL NOT BEAR

@@lawrencetaylor4101 Russia has a central bank, but it is a Russian entity, controlled solely by Russia, so it cannot be bled dry by the same, international banking cartel parasites, that has bankrupted the United States, for their personal gain.
Here's a spoiler alert for anyone who has not figured it out yet: The good guys did not win WWII, and this slow rolling cesspit of moral decay, political corruption, and societal collapse, we find ourselves in, is identical to the situation facing Germany throughout the 1920's up until 1933, when the German people had finally enough, and decided to free itself of the same international banking clique plaguing our country today.
