Recentry I knew Vodka Collins and wanted to know about Alan and found this video. I am greatful to see first talking Alan and friendship with monsieur.
On "Ban Ban" Monsieur is playing my grey Fender Stratocaster that I loaned him for the show and he's using my guitar strap. It makes me feel good to know he played my guitar on stage. At BB King's I was playing harmonica and singing harmonies on that song. The black acoustic guitar he used at BB King's he bought the morning of the show on 48th street at Manny's. He told me "it was 600 bucks" - I played it and told him I was impressed that he got such a good deal. He'll be missed by anyone lucky enough to have been his friend, and we've been close friends almost 50 years now so I have insight. It's hard to accept he's gone. RIP Monsieur.
I become a new fan of The Spiders just a month ago and I'm now interested in M. Kamayatsu. I had Chances to talk w Mr. Merrill, he was a easygoing person, so sad to accept that they both passed away. RIP both of you. PS I like Arrows, too.
