What an amazing way of using up precious leftovers from your handwoven folk costume fabric! Thanks for the wonderful scenery and the cultural background of that beach with the burial mounds - and the little sneaky fellow. :)
This was amazing to watch. Having some background in modern sneaker construction, I was thinking “how is she gonna do that???!!!” But wow, you did it! Sneakers are tricky and fiddle-y to do by hand. Excellent video!! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 and how awesome that you were able to use fabric you wove yourself!!
You are stunningly adaptable and I'm glad to see you are aquiring adverts which I guess means some compensation for all the hard work. Compared with more fameous YTers you certainly have greater ability to take on a challenge
Thanks! Unfortunately the adverts only cover my editing software and music licence fees. Perhaps some point they will grow to cover the cost of fabric! But I do this for the love of it.
Your sneakers are beautiful. I have some espadrille soles but haven't gone any further with those, now you've inspired me to move them up the 'must do' list as they would be perfect for Summer. A day or so ago I was looking at hand crocheted shoes/slippers on RUclips, but now you have me thinking about faux shearling suede sneakers for next Winter. Did you wax your hand sewing thread? Love your fabric and a great idea (imho) to quilt the two layers on the white stripe. Thanks for another great video, hope you have a wonderful weekend.
Honestly, I don’t remember whether I waxed my thread this time. I usually do, when I sew with linen, cotton or silk but this was polyester. I don’t see my beeswax anywhere on the video so I may not have bothered this time. Have a nice weekend as well!
Anyone who sees these sneaker is going to be so jealous. They are beautiful. Well done.
Thank you so much!
