I begin to understand the meaning of the song. Or at least what I hear is "As long as you enjoy living your life here and now, the future doesn't matter." When he sings "Doesn't matter if I got you." It's not about another person. He means it doesn't matter if he gets the future because he's living his life and being happy in current time. At least that's a theory that I have about it.
