I’m 26 and you all saved my mental health by just mentioning to get your test checked in the past. Came back 280 when I was 25. Been on TRT for a year dropped all my aniexty and depression meds and feel better then I ever have. Started to make gains and shoutout to Mike for helping me feel my lat for the first time in my life. 😂

Terrence Ruffin has always said to pose in front of a camera instead of a mirror because in the mirror you can make so many micro adjustments you could never make on stage. I think most people don’t do that when practicing.
02:05:15 Capsule vs tablet was more of a concern years ago with coatings such as shellac, that the body could not break down. If you take any tablet from a REPUTABLE company and drop it in any vinegar it will break down within minutes. Stomach acid is more acidic than vinegar so you will be good to go. It's more of a personal preference these days than anything. Heck most of these tabs will break down in water which is no where near as acidic as the human stomach.
I just wanted to say thanks for always putting out these videos. I recently went through a full blown Arthoscopic SLAP repair on my shoulder a few weeks back and its been a hell of a climb back especially being away from the gym currently just to aid my recovery and these videos have been nothing but a blessing just knowing the things you have all dealt with in your careers and in life always sets the tone to just bounce back and come back better. Thank you to all of you and it was amazing to see Seth on this one.

Iain had a bodybuilders physique and shape before he trained. Structure genetics 💯 Iain is a freak of all freaks. He was squishy for like two full seasons and then was a fucking granite statue his whole career. His special stature plus the hardwork and insane insane work ethic will be missed. He got crap for his calves and triceps but fugg all those people. Guy was top ten in the world for 5 years. Elite.

Yh I feel they're over looking him a lot, his highest placing in Olympia was 6th place behind curry heath hadi Rami bonac. That's higher than most in this Arnold lineup.
Regarding the supplements, the biggest issue is quality. There is different sources of certain vitamins that absorb better or certain forms (think magnesium oxide vs glycinate). The best supplement brands test their product vs the others that do not. It’s really tough to just stare at the bottle besides looking for companies that test and use the right forms. When doing testing it’s come out many times that supplements are under dosed or even not containing the actual supplement. There was a study done on brands for berberine being sold on Amazon and there was significant variance between the brands. It sucks to pay more for the brands that test but it’s worth it to make sure you get the right stuff
For vitamins, minerals and fish oil, I typically only buy the brand “nature made”. They are the only brand that is USP certified. USP is the “United states Pharmacopia” standard. They set very strict standards for pharmaceutical manufacturing facilities and Ingredient purity. Pretty impressive they are able to get that cert with vitamins and minerals. Like Mike said though, you get what you pay for. They are on the more expensive end but can save a little buying in bulk at some price clubs.
You guys talking about equipment not all being the same. The gym I went to in college just reopened, and it is all old Icarian/Precor equipment. Some of my favorite shit, man. It's not all the same

The other thing to consider are absorbability as well as formulations that have vitamins that compete for the same pathway in order for the body to absorb them. Right now, I've had better responses to a good greens powder. Also from what I've read and heard from other sources, podcasts, people should look for chelated vitamins and minerals. Meaning they are formulated along with amino acids for better absorption. I actually did a test myself with water mixed with apple cider vinegar and the hard pressed tabs barely broke down. The capsules broke down completely.

The incredibly easy answer to looking for good supps is top quality is “GMP” certified and also “NSF” is a good 3rd party testing confirmation. Kind of surprising that two supplement company owners are not discussing any 3rd party testing…
GMP is a standard across the board. And it means fxck all. Lol Everyone is. Even places that should not be…are. lol Manufacturing is another world. Waaaaaaaay more goes into it than most think. It is a wild world. And it can be sketchy and shady as well. Any of those 3 letter certs are just window decorations. Just because you slap those three letters on there doesn’t mean it’s good. You need to be able to trust your manufacturer. Have the right paper work in place with them. Work with vendors and your manufacturer on where your ingredients are being sourced…consistently. It is about quality of the sourced ingredients. Source A and B both meet the standard of GMP and NSF. They are what they say they are and not contaminated. But source A comes from a better farm. Let’s just say it’s whey - WPI - whey protein Isolate. Now one could then use source B which is cheaper, not tell you but still have the same label and certs. This is why you have to have good manufacturing relationships and quality control at your company. It is so layered and tedious and could talk for hours about it all. It is something that is not talked about much. 💪💪

Maybe GMP works a bit different between the two industries, but with pharmaceuticals the GMP facilities themselves are the highest level of compliance. I assumed GMP supplements had been 3rd party tested to the same degree that we are held to.
The hard part trying to find a good quality vitamin supplement is when you google it the biggest brands come up that are usually cheap and crap. Since the FDA doesn’t regulate the industry there is no standard of quality. I do wish big pharmaceutical companies would get into vitamin supplements so it would be regulated.
