What an idiotic comment. Obviously haven't watched the video have you? I'm so sick of pillocks like you coming on here writing absolute nonsense. Timestamp the part in the video where I say I think we are alone in the universe? Honestly, some people should not be given a keyboard.
Your first scepticism regarding why he’d leave a perfectly flat and well marked path to go across rugged moor and then end up taking THAT pic is countered by the later hypnosis that suggested that the photo incident was actually the last part of a much longer interaction and explained the two hours of lost time. He was simply dropped off at the place of the pic, he didn’t actually go there himself.
If you should ever find yourselves in Iowa USA, I'd be delighted to take both of you out for dinner for this fascinating and informative post. You've nailed the location - there's no doubt. Brilliant!
Strange as it sounds, we have actually mentioned Iowa as a possible place to visit in the future. We have travelled over the pond many times, but just to the typical tourists spots, and yet Iowa is one place we both fancy seeing.
This video STILL fascinates me one year later! Amazing how you found the exact spot on that huge moor, you put quite a bit of work into this, much appreciated!!
This is still one of my favourites todate. Everything about doing this video was exciting for me personally (Chris), having grown up with this story and having read a few articles about it. But to actually visit the location was mind blowing.
""According to ufologist Nick Redfern, Spencer was hassled by the Ministry of Defence a few days after the incident on the moor.[11] He says that they opened a file on Spencer and sent two Men in black to his home to intimidate him into silence"" according to wiki
Hi there. I read that too just after putting this together. It's an intriguing story and if we fast forward from then to now, more and more stories, sightings and even briefings from governments are happening. Makes me wonder if we are now being drop fed information ready for an event bigger announcement on alien life.
@@DaysofHorrori think that is a distinct possibility. It seems like over the past 6 or 7 years there has been a deliberate and methodical release of information
The picture quality is probably affected by him having to "push" the development. He probably had a stock 400asa film, but was shooting as though it was 800 or even 1200asa. So he would set his camera up as though he was using one of these faster films. Faster, in as much as the speed they react to light. Setting the film speed on the camera then changes the aperture and shutter speed available in lower light or high speed photography. But the development time has to be adjusted. This does tend to result in a more grainy and high contrast image. Not a high definition image, as you would get with a lowered film speed, smaller aperture and slower exposure time. Photographers tend to use faster film if using a longer lens. Like the old telephoto or zoom lenses of the day. Longer lenses allow less light in. So you need faster film speed to get a decent image, and to allow faster shutter speeds. Needed to avoid blurring from camera shake, made worse by the longer lens.
Bit too convenient though! These photos are always out focus and blurry. I was in my early twenties in 1987, and you COULD take a decent photo if you wanted to then, even with a basic 110mm camera. His photo looks like something from the 1920's honestly!😂 Imagine if he had captured a crystal clear image - there would be no doubt!!
Having studied the subject for decades. The phrases "I don't normally"; "I have no idea why I , I was just drawn to". are the preface to hundreds of sightings. Plus, at 6; 30 on December 1st it would still have been pitch black. The photo must have been taken post 7;45 as sunrise is not until 8;03.
Comparing the 1987 Philip Spencer photo to your location, at 23:00 seems like the correct angle and distance, looking down at the spot, you've done it! And I am surprised that Spencer himself is not coming forward to make any statements himself. Great video, waiting for your next one!!
We loved doing this video. I think it was a mix of visiting Ilkley on a wet morning which gave it a little more ambience, and of course the story we were looking into. Just pleased we found the location and to be honest, it kind of felt a little weird being stood at the exact place that the 'alien' was standing at.
Thanks for watching and as you say, it is a fascinating story. We made hard work of it by going the way we did, but I think it kind-of adds to the video. We were both pleased to find the location though, as a few have had issues finding it in the past.
A fascinating and informative video on this mysterious case which I tend to think is quite possibly a very true experience. It looks much like a bearded dwarf being of sorts. I often wondered whether the hypnosis elements/experiments were actually more human/military-based (especially with the nearby Menwith Hill military station - connected with the Echelon spy network) for the purpose of suppressing or altering what was originally known. Though what is particularly interesting is the film he was shown in which he saw the state of the world being destroyed through famines, and so forth. I have myself been abducted several years back now and in my experience they strangely also sang a song to me which was all about how the planet was being destroyed and their main message was that we needed to do something about that right away. Besides this detail, I am more skeptical of the hypnosis elements. The photograph and initial story however seems quite legitimate. And especially when considering the nearby Badger Stone, etc. I would be very interested to somehow track down the original identity of Phillip Spencer and speak with him - but I imagine this is not an easily achievable task now. Thank you for providing such clear footage in this video!
Hi Ste, thanks for watching. We are definately going to cover the Alan Godfrey story, not just his abduction, but that of Zigmund Adamski which also involves Godfrey.
The creature or whatever it is in the picture looks so bizarre. I can make out a large face looking off to its right side (if it was facing him). The chin looks large and like it’s blowing a large bubble like one does with chewing gum haha. It does appear to look grey/greenish. So intriguing. The arm looks comically long too. EDIT: I’ve seen other artist renditions of it facing forward now and looks more convincing in the face then what I was originally seeing.
You should be proud of this one, well done taking us on that journey, it looked a difficult one, much appreciated. I love this story, and who knows, maybe it was a true story. Over the years I've heard many stories of UFO sightings over the Ilkley Moor area, yet I've never heard of this one. I find it compelling that the witness was a police officer, so for me that makes it a much more trustworthy source and someone who is used to being more observant and able to assess a situation with an eye for detail. Plus the area itself comes across as very atmospheric and you get a feeling of mystery and intrigue. BUT it does sound fanciful, I have to say. I'm not sure what to believe, but there have been a lot of sightings. I hope it is true! It's strange as I was going to request you do a video on the Godfrey case in Todmorden and you then said it at the end, please do!!!! That will be amazing! I also agree with hypnotic regression, I think there is a lot of suggestion and subconscious thoughts and visions that can make up a fake account. Excellent video and to be there, it must have felt eerie and at the same time unreal! Well done both!
Cheers Storm 😁 I personally loved making this one. Visiting Ilkley Moor for the first time and having the conditions as they were was the icing on the cake. It started of misty, drizzled a little and got progressively worse towards the end 🤣 I've come across this story many times throughout the years so to visit the scene where it all took place was awesome. We are definately going to do the Alan Godfrey story in the coming weeks and hopefully we will have someone tagging along with us who is more knowledgeable in the story than we are 👀 unfortunately it's not Alan himself, I did ask him last year if he would be interested in participating in a video but he graciously declined due to ill health. He did sign his book for me though 👍
@@DaysofHorror Wow, you met the man himself, and again how weird it's another police officer?! I knew you would one day get around to this unique story and there's nobody better to deliver it!
FASCINATING video! I have been waiting a long time for someone to investigate that exact spot, thank you for a great video and all the research you did, I'm sure it was a lot of work! Certainly a very creepy spot!
The walk was the hardest as we made it harder than it should have been BUT we don't regret getting to the location we did as it kind of makes the video a bit more interesting 🤣
It is easy to imagine that after walking up that very difficult terrain it would be easy to believe he was lightheaded and faint. He saw something that was probably quite ordinary. I can't say I am convinced of anything unusual. I am a hugely sceptical. I admire you both for taking this track and especially Vicky. I am looking now as you are talking and walking and I thought I saw a man in a huge padded jacket and walking closer I saw it was a tree.
To me it looks like some kind of troll figure. I heard about this many year's ago, but always thought it had been proven a fake. Excellent video as always 😊
I love everything about this story, although I'm not convinced it is anything out of this world. Was a brilliant morning out filming this one and to-date my favourite video.
I live very near Ilkley Moor and have walked it many times walking the dogs. Grouse and sheep roam quite freely over the moor. I doubt a UFO could find a place to land in that particular area of the moor, the terrain is very uneven.
It is uneven as you say, and we noticed and heard many what I'd say were weird noises, but we don't know our birds so couldn't identify them. Interesting location for sure.
We also get called 'idiots', 'pathetic' for NOT believing that life out there may possibly exist. As I pointed out to one numpty before blocking them, timestamp the part in the video where I say I don't believe life exists elsewhere or that we are alone in the universe. People who know me, and I've also mentioned it in other videos, will know I'm a firm believer in life on other planets. Maybe not in our universe, but most definitely somewhere in the vastness space. Honestly, we can't win either way when it comes to putting videos out for people to watch. Your comment has made my day though 😁
Well done 😊. Sadly lost my Ilkley videos 18 months ago, I covered the story....but was nowhere near it 😅. You're spot on there though, very exciting. Like others say, lots to cover on those moors 😊
You and Vicky deserve a medal Chris..proper mooch up the moor..really enjoyed this video like you I remember it in the news at the time..I’m opened minded on it I’d love to think it was an alien he captured…but credit to you on a great well explained video..keep them coming Chris 👍
Thanks Steve. Although we feel we walked the 'hardest' route to get to the location, we still loved every minute of it. Next time we visit, we know the easier way and the way which we think Philip himself probably made. As for the video, this is my favourite to-date. Loved every minute of this one, the research and locating the place, the walk, the editing, the story itself - definately my fave todate 😁 We are planning to do a UFO night watch as soon as we have a long spell of dry weather and we have a clear night. Here in the Rossendale Valley we have a few areas to go which have been hotspots over the years so we plan to visit one and camp out for a few hours. You never know, we may spot something 🛸
Watched thus again folks and I have to say I really admire Vickie for the way she tackles the walks and the rough terrain - she is a tough lady - really good film folks under trying circumstances - as to the photo looks like a normal bloke to me!
Omg, that was tough! I think I'd only has my second hip done like 8mths before that video. What we do for videos!! Yes agree looks like any normal bloke in that picture 😂😂😂😂
All power to your elbow( or hip!) kid arthritis no laughing matter - I think it's defo a human leaning forward- probably on his way to work,or Morrisons!!
Seeing you standing in the spot is really instructive thanks. It gives a clear idea of the size of whatever was photographed. Clearly it must have been something of substantial size not just a little plastic toy or statue (as admittedly I have thought previously)
It was a weird feeling being up there. Not wanting to sound dramatic, but it just felt strange. It's one of those bucket list moments for myself, as I remember this story when I was young, so to be able to find that spot was an amazing experience. It's quite possible a cardboard cut out of sorts may have been used as the area in question isn't that far from a carpark. Probably a twenty minute walk I'd say, so quite plausible some form of cut out had been used.
It's all very well being sceptical of course but I think hypothesizing that an adult human male would mistake a rock for a metallic space vehicle to be even more unlikely than the truth. Same kind of logic that some scientists use when they try and convince themselves that people who have reported seeing spacecraft in forests were actually looking at Venus (an impossibly small faint dot, indistiguishable to most from a faint star) and yet they are both respected and paid for their opinions.
Many thanks Sue. We enjoy covering stories as you know, but this one is perhaps our favourite to-date. There is something mystical about those moors that gets under your skin and we are definately going to go back soon for a couple more stories.
I have looked at this photo many times, and seeing it on the internet in various magnifications I realized that the front 'legs' bothered me. The form of the two front legs where they meet seem to exactly form the chest of a large animal - dog, sheep, lamb. Look further, it seems the head of the animal is right there above the chest, you can see two eyes, ears, long dog-like head appearance. And you can see the back left leg. Ignore the 'head' of that 'alien', it is just blobs and blurs from the foliage behind. Once you cover that 'head', you can see the animal standing there.
Many people have since said to me it looks more like an animal but I think, as you rightly point out, the foliage in the background kind of makes people 'see' a head or a face on the body of the object in the photo and naturally assume it's a person or an alien. I also think, if it is a person, it is either walking fast or running AWAY from Philip that morning. I tried to pose, as you can see in the video, and it's not that far off what we see in the photo.
Great video, it was interesting to see the actual site. As far as the path choices, I do not find that suspicious, that is something I would do, I would choose the more difficult path for the exercise and the time savings. The camera, that is another matter, if you are setting out to take pictures you would think you would have it set up for the current light conditions before heading out.
Still my favourite location we have visited todate. Absolutely loved everything about that trip and putting this video together. I was so pleased to have found the spot and to see it with my own eyes.
His departure from the path is simple to explain. In fact , taking his camera to take pictures is self explanatory. Wildlife usually stays away from the paths and it is common for photographers to go off the path to get a good pic.....i live local and it was good to see , cheers
Bravo for venturing out on the proverbial limb and tackling a story which has a 99%+ chance of being absolutely true in all details. All one need do is start with the man, then the photo, and work backward using their inner guide to truth to know that this happened just the way it was told. I hope you will start leaning more toward this subject going forward, and not because lurid stories of crime and/or darker forces have less intrinsic value, but because a tilt in this direction leads to the subject we most need to confront as a global populace: The Law of One. Everything is leading inexorably to that being the greatest and most significant spilling of truth that has, and maybe ever will, occur for us. And it opens pathways to discovery of self which are more easily corroborated once you start to understand that stories like this one are but a compacted snowflake atop the tip of the summit of the iceberg...
Hi, just came across your channel and I’ve been binge watching and subscribed 👍🏻 I personally knew Jenny Randles, she is a very intelligent and interesting lady. Loved the content and hope you do more like this one. Best wishes from North Wales 🏴
I tried reaching out to Jenny a couple of years back but never got a reply back. I'd have loved to have met up with her to talk about some of the cases, like this one, that she investigated but unfortunately it's not to be.
Great video as usual! thank you to you and Vicky you always put 100% in to them. I must admit I have not heard of this tale but I have seen a UFO in 1972/3 through my bedroom window!. Thank you again just brilliant.
He might have taken that route specifically because it was less travelled. To get away from the hoy poloy so to speak, and enjoy nature. Also, this was an era before internet, so in fact it may have had more foot traffic back then. So a better walk. We have lost a few once popular walks around our way. No obvious signs left that there ever was a path.
I’ll reiterate in case you missed at end of stream, great pork pies at the shop near the castle, on the left on Main Street as it splits around the castle but before you get to the sweet shop and pie shop near the canal. Get there fairly early as they make them fresh daily and are fantastic warm. My fave is the pork and apple but the blackpudding one and chilli jam ones are also very nice fresh. In Skipton. As for the content of the video, it’s a blag. Good detail though and it’s appreciated how much of a slog it was!
Blag - I love that word 🤣 I agree, it's a stretch of the imagination to suggest it's an alien and an abduction case. And to not capture some of the UFO is another reason to be suspicious I think. Still, for me, I love anything to do with UFOs and the stories behind them so loved filming this one.
I've heard aliens are rather partial to a good pie. That's probably why they landed there! Agree with you, the whole story is fun but preposterously unlikely!🤣🤣
I've had hypnosis and I know that you're fully aware of what's going on. I take hypnosis with a pinch of salt. These photos are just like the sightings of Big foot 😂 it's funny how are amazing digital cameras can't take a clear picture of one.
It's intriguing for sure. This is to-date, my favourite video that we have done. The location, the story, actually finding where this now famous photo was taken all those years ago. I'd love to meet Jenny Randles and take her back to this spot and do a bit of an interview with her about the story, but despite a few emails sent to her, we are yet to receive a reply so Im not holding my breath now. Saying that, and without sounding bad, I think she is in her 70s now so may not be up for taking on such a walk. But I love this story, and as I say, the location.
@DaysofHorror Yeah, that would make sense. It was a bit of a trek. Shame though, that would be a good interview. Its definitely one of my favourite videos of yours, but I'm not even halfway through them yet.
We have some plans to cover a couple more story over in Ilkley (not just the moor either 😯) There is something mystical about the moors though. Can't wait to get back and film.
That is something we proud ourselves on actually researching the stories and then going to the locations to retell the story. Thanks for watching from Vickie & Chris
looked like a small boy, with large arms carrying a model aeroplane in a wooden box wearing a hat with a pompom, although why would a small child be there in december?
With out dout an interesting story, you went to great lengths to bring us this video. Was it made up may be we will never know , I believe Philip believes so .
I'd love to meet up with Philip himself (if he's still alive) or perhaps Peter Hough and Jenny Randles, and discuss this case more. That would be a dream of ours.
Certainly! I'm trying hard to find a way of contacting Peter but I'm just encountering brick walls at the moment 🤔 I've sent a couple of emails to Jenny but still has no reply.
If you have walked up there and goto the top and look to the left you will see golf ball military listening devices he would have taken that path as its a short cut
Yep I agree. We did a podcast on the todmorden case last year but never did a video. We spoke with Alan Godfrey via email, and whilst he brilliant to communicate with, unfortunately due to ill health he didn't wish to do anymore interviews or appear on cameras, which I fully respect and acknowledge. He did however sign a book and posted it to us 👍 But we are now thinking of doing the whole Adamski and Godfrey case.
We know the photo itself is real. If you rule out the possibility of the object in the photo being an animal then that leaves two possibilities. One that the photographer went to the trouble of creating a 4ft carboard cut out or dummy and carried it across the moor to that location. Or that this is the real thing. Given you have walked there, how likely is it he could have carried some sort of prop to the place in the photo? And without being seen by anyone
The walk we went on took us further afield to be honest. On our way back down towards the carpark, there is another pathway which we feel was most certainly the path Spencer would have taken as it was much easier terrain and also close from the main entrance to the moors. I guess to carry a 4ft prop would have been manageable. Also, it was early in the morning so I'm not sure if many people would have been around.
My personal favourite video to-date. I just loved everything about doing this one. The location, the story behind it and also finding the spot where it was taken.
Hi Jon 👋 If you ever want to meet up and have a look over there, let us know and we can sort something. The spot, now we know where it is, is very easy to get to. We just made it harder than it needed to be when we went 🤣
@@DaysofHorror ha, yes, easy done over that way! Be good to sort something, although, I'm mostly strapped for time juggling work and toddler!😄 slowed right down on my other channel..this terrible weather hasn't help..been none stop since start of summer!🌧
I kind of think there was someone else walking that morning. Spencer was either spooked or genuinely thought it was something other worldly. But for me, it's interesting and after all these years, im glad we finally found the location of that photo. It's one that will probably always be in conversations when it comes to abductions and aliens.
If it’s not an alien, it’s a very strange looking person. I see a beard and a bald head with bushy hair and a weird face. But alien? Not so sure. Well done for trekking all the way up there. Hope you had a pint by the fire in a nice warm pub afterwards.
Philip was a police officer quite the normal practice for police to train on such terrain the being was 4ft 6 I remember the case well my dad and myself actually met him a few years later at a B.U.F.O. Conference you missed out the Waterhouse where they saw several of the green creatures
@@DaysofHorror I do not know if it’s still there was like a white building it was a luxury spa at bottom of the moor staff in there saw 5 of these green creatures before this case was reported there are some achieves of the story
Yep, the building is still there. A spa of sorts as you rightly say. I'm going to see if I can find anything on the creatures being witnessed by those working there.
I got the ‘films’ as well. Always the earth stuff: the world burning, kids in famine, hurricanes, tornados. So boring and predictable. I also got 2 other films - one about the housing estate where I used to live: showing me the fields before it was built and men in the 40s in a draughting office designing the housing estate on drawing boards. Then there was a film of Jesus and Barabbas stood on a wall with the crowd selecting Jesus as the one to be killed. That one was black and white without sound and lasted about 6-7 seconds. I remember asking how that could be filmed with a camera as cameras didn’t exist then and I was told it wasn’t filmed with a camera.
Really enjoyed this video. If you plan on making more 'alien' related videos then you might want to team up with a British paranormal researcher called Steve Mera. You should check out his RUclips channel. 👍
Sounds like Phil believes what he said, but I don't think there's an alien there. In relation to things like Aliens, ghosts etc, you have to rule scientific explanations first, because more often than not the answer can be found there. To me the photo could be a four legged animal of some sort, and he spooked it when he yelled at it, so it ran off. You covered the ufo side of the story. Silvery rocks in the low light could look like a ufo. As for the poor quality, he was using slow speed film, which allows more light into the camera, which is why it looks so light, but in fact it could be quite dark. So it's actually not a bad photo considering the conditions described. I don't think it was a deliberate hoax, but you can't determine what the object in the photo is
I agree. And those rocks videoed using the GoPro look a lot smaller than actually were. In the rain, with the water glistening, from our vantage point, they did have a silvery shine to them.
thank you chris and vivky a bit damp i bet this was very interesting and wonderful scenery we loved the story and like you we think there are more things around us in space and on our planet it is great to see thing that might be unknown to us take care cheers trev and chris
Hi Trev and Chris, hope you are both doing well and we are honestly blown away from your support. Personally, this is my favourite video todate (Chris speaking). Everything about it I just loved. The driving over to Ilkley, to walking off the beaten track and to finally locating the area where this photo was taken. It's been somewhat of a bucket list thing to do, as I remember seeing this photo many, many years ago and was always curious about it. So to visit the place and to do a video, well, its just my favourite to-date.
It was a hard walk, but yes the views were outstanding. Chris has always been interested in this since reading about it as a child. Thanks Trevor & Christine. Have a great weekend 😊
hahaha he's like "why would he walk up that incline? it's so difficult" he went there for the same reason that you did, to take pictures of the landscape.. and that incline didn't look like much of a deal tbh. I mean you made it without injuring yourself. though I think the photo doesn't show a creature, I also think you are overthinking this a little bit ;-)
Trust me, that incline through the treeline was an absolute beast to climb. GoPro doesn't show it clearly, but that was steep. I think he went in the direction where we walked back from, as it was much flatter under foot and nowhere near as steep. And yes, we both always overthink things in the stories we cover 😆
I don't know why you think it unlikely he would want to take the high path, considering 13:14 "Spencer was looking for some interesting areas to take photos" And if the domed shaped silver onbject that he saw was a rock 18:59, then what kind of rock would then fly off at a vast rate of knots? As for the alien being a bloke on a mountain bike or on a horse...don't make me laugh. You estimated yourself that distance from camera 15:07 was no more than 15 to 20 metres. Should we really believe an ex cop's observational skills were so poor that he could see it was someone on a bike? I'm not having it that he could mistake what he saw to be mundane objects like bikes and flying rocks. Either this happened the way he said it, or he's a blatant liar (and I'm not sure which) As for the poor standard of photography, that is a good point and I agree, suspicious. It would be interesting to see other photographs he took that morning and compare the quality. (Other than that...a very enjoyable video.) ATB Paul Young, Manchester
Looking at the video again, but this time on my tele. ... Freezed at 28:00 ..Whatever it is, it looks to have a beard and looking toward his right. Not sure what that is where his left ear should be,,,but it might be turf or bracken behind him. Also seems to be holding something in its left arm. (a bag, maybe) Judging by the creatures stance I'm wondering if whatever its holding is heavy....yet Spencer says it managed to scuttle away very quickly. All very odd.
It's a location I've wanted to visit for a long time but with other things always getting in the way, such is life, it was somewhere I also kind of forgot about. The way we left the area and that footpath would seem a more easier and plausible route than the one we first go on and through those woods. It's such fascinating story, and I'd have loved to have e spoken to 'Spencer' about it all.
@@DaysofHorror ...Been reading other comments and see you also have an interest in Alan Godfrey's abduction. His book "who or what were they", is excellent. I went to scope Todmorden out just before Christmas and had a bimble around the area I presumed to be the exact location on Burnley Road where the UFO blocked the road. Fun Fact...on Google Maps, the street view cuts out jut at the points where Alan claimed the UFO was in the road, and the gates where Alan and his colleague climbed over to get to the rugby field where the cows were.
Yep, we have loads of articles and books on this story. As for now though, it's a little to far for us to travel too having now used up all our holiday allowances off work.
We do have plans to visit Rendlesham, but it will be next year at the earliest now. Plus there are other locations we want to visit that have connections with UFO stories.
I have to say I love your channel but this is my least favourite. I’d say stick to more factual ones. You can’t lie under hypnosis He said he saw the silver object rise This video is ridiculous
Why is the video ridiculous? It's a story that made worldwide news at the time and is one of the top three most talked about stories in the UFO community! Whether or not you, me, or anyone, believes if it happened or not, it is not the point of the video. The point of the video is that the story has fascinated me for many years, and it's always been somewhat of an ambition to locate where it took place. I've done that now and im pleased with how this video turned out.
@@DaysofHorror if you’re pleased that’s all that matters. Just my opinion. Your other videos are fantastic. Your editing on this was brilliant. Just your speculation was a lil far fetched to me. He clearly said it raised how can that be mistaken as a still boulder ???? That’s just one point. No hate intended in my opinion 🙏🏼
@@MissJasmine11 I never took it as being hateful ;-) Sometimes we do videos that have been an interest to us for years, and as we have got older and a bit more adventurous, we are now going to these places and taking you kind folk with us. As for seeing an object rise into the sky, we were just thinking aloud and that with it being a little grey and murkey that morning, and seeing the boulders in the distance to us look kind of glistening in the drizzle, could he have mistaken these as being a silvery object? Im alway skeptical though when it comes to believing people when they say that saw someting like a UFO taking off directly in front of them, I have to be skeptical as a lot of these claims can and have been debunked as being something more natural. As for the story, I love it nonetheless, as I do most UFO stories. The Alan Godfrey one we are doing soon, and we have been in direct talks in the past with Alan over his claims of alien abduction.
Cheers DM! The Alan Godfrey story, as with many other stories like his, always fascinates me. I think we definately need to get over to Tod and do the story 👍

Thanks for sharing that information with us all about the camera/lens. Thanks for watching and commenting Alan 😊
He left his house at 0700 as far as I am aware so I dunno where this 0630 has come from.
I find this case, like so many others, utterly fascinating. Thanks for covering it!
From Sydney, Australia
Great vid,you really need to do the Alan Godfrey story.I believe that one 100%.Thanks again, always enjoy your videos mate😊
Thanks Linda. Yes that was a hard trek going filming this story, and I am like you very sceptical. Glad you enjoyed 😊
Well done to you both for all your hard work on this story. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I like your approach to these strange tales, you don't just swallow the tale without questioning and using logic.
We are always discussing our thoughts and alot we do not put in the vlog, but always gives us room for thought on all the stories we are covering 😊
Well done 😊. Sadly lost my Ilkley videos 18 months ago, I covered the story....but was nowhere near it 😅. You're spot on there though, very exciting. Like others say, lots to cover on those moors 😊
Cheers Matt. If you ever plan to go back, we are more than happy to accompany you and take you to the area if you haven't already found it by then 👍
You and Vicky deserve a medal Chris..proper mooch up the moor..really enjoyed this video like you I remember it in the news at the time..I’m opened minded on it I’d love to think it was an alien he captured…but credit to you on a great well explained video..keep them coming Chris 👍
Thanks Steve. Although we feel we walked the 'hardest' route to get to the location, we still loved every minute of it. Next time we visit, we know the easier way and the way which we think Philip himself probably made. As for the video, this is my favourite to-date. Loved every minute of this one, the research and locating the place, the walk, the editing, the story itself - definately my fave todate 😁
We are planning to do a UFO night watch as soon as we have a long spell of dry weather and we have a clear night. Here in the Rossendale Valley we have a few areas to go which have been hotspots over the years so we plan to visit one and camp out for a few hours. You never know, we may spot something 🛸
Fantastic to do a ufo watch, we went up Rivington pike to do one ..that’s another ufo hotspot..
never knew about this, nice one.
Fascinating video , as per usual ❤❤❤❤
Thank you Julie, glad you enjoyed 😊
❤
Watched thus again folks and I have to say I really admire Vickie for the way she tackles the walks and the rough terrain - she is a tough lady - really good film folks under trying circumstances - as to the photo looks like a normal bloke to me!
She is a real trooper my Vickie 👍
Does look like a spooky place. Especially on a foggy morning.
It's a place we are going back to, hopefully this year, as there are loads of other interesting stories and spots to visit over there.
I doubt he mistook a rock for a silver object going into the sky. And he started his journey from his house at around 0700hrs
Great video and editing too
Many thanks Sue. We enjoy covering stories as you know, but this one is perhaps our favourite to-date. There is something mystical about those moors that gets under your skin and we are definately going to go back soon for a couple more stories.
@@DaysofHorror fair play to you both
I have looked at this photo many times, and seeing it on the internet in various magnifications I realized that the front 'legs' bothered me.
Yes very true. Thanks for watching and commenting 😊
Nice One Guy's keep up the Brilliant Work Peace ✌️ be With You
I guess it depends what he was out filming. He might have gone the awkward way for that purpose? 🤷♀️
I really enjoyed watching your new video tonight x❤❤
Thanks Donna. This one we absolutley loved filming. The moors I think made it all the more interesting.
Hi, just came across your channel and I’ve been binge watching and subscribed 👍🏻
I personally knew Jenny Randles, she is a very intelligent and interesting lady.
Thanks Jules 😁 We loved doing this one. We do have something special planned as a kind of follow up to this too so keep your eyes peeled 👽👀
Nice jab sir❤❤❤
Many thanks Kashif 🙏
The ASA is not to do with the camera but the film speed which account's for the grain
Tell us more stories of Todmerdon, we are intrigued😮👽
Look forward to it👍👍👍
He might have taken that route specifically because it was less travelled. To get away from the hoy poloy so to speak, and enjoy nature. Also, this was an era before internet, so in fact it may have had more foot traffic back then. So a better walk. We have lost a few once popular walks around our way. No obvious signs left that there ever was a path.
Thanks for watching and commenting Linda 😊
Great video you two !! From 🇺🇸‼️
Glad you enjoyed it
Thanks Renee. Hope USA is hurricane free at the moment x
Enjoyed the video thanks - Come back soon to do the Twelve Apostles (which i think is bollocks) and the carvings. - cheers!!
We have some plans to cover a couple more story over in Ilkley (not just the moor either 😯)
There is something mystical about the moors though. Can't wait to get back and film.
I love the history its amazing and I love how u go to the locations to tell the stories
That is something we proud ourselves on actually researching the stories and then going to the locations to retell the story. Thanks for watching from Vickie & Chris
The area had no level, well kept paths at that time that i remember. All tracks were more basic and rough as heck.
it does look like a "spaceman " with a small child like him clinging to him in a piggyback 2nd picture
Love your British demeanor!
😅
looked like a small boy, with large arms carrying a model aeroplane in a wooden box wearing a hat with a pompom, although why would a small child be there in december?
He climbed For the view I’d say
With out dout an interesting story, you went to great lengths to bring us this video. Was it made up may be we will never know , I believe Philip believes so .
I'd love to meet up with Philip himself (if he's still alive) or perhaps Peter Hough and Jenny Randles, and discuss this case more. That would be a dream of ours.
@@DaysofHorror Will you let us know if you get to meet and discuss the case with Hough and Randles, and what conclusions are made? 😀
Great video. Would be good for you to cover the todmorden ufo case
Interesting..never knew this 👍
My personal favourite video to-date. I just loved everything about doing this one. The location, the story behind it and also finding the spot where it was taken.
@@DaysofHorror you have got me interested in that spot now..by the way, this is Jon from Relaxing Walks UK! This is my other channel!
@@DaysofHorror love going to the rocks on Ikley Moor, and the pub is great there 👌
Hi Jon 👋 If you ever want to meet up and have a look over there, let us know and we can sort something.
I don't believe boulders fly upwards very quickly
And neither do we 👍
A bloke walking down the hill with a parker on, facing away
We have never heard of the Waterhouse creatures? It something that now intrigues us though!
@@DaysofHorror yeah would be a interesting video please do
I got the ‘films’ as well.
Cheers Tom, we have at least three more to do this year which kind-of went wayward last year for varying reasons. I'll check Steve's channel as well 😀
Sounds like Phil believes what he said, but I don't think there's an alien there.
Thanks for the Hard work. Saw this occurrence on bedtime stories. Good. Idea going to the monkey Moor site.
I know who it is!
Its the guy who was taking a vow of silence in the Life Of Brian! 😂
I prefer to call him the Icky Woods Alien.
You need to go back and do it at 7 in the morning
If we lived closer, its something that would be good to do. Maybe we could plan it though, but would probably be in the spring or summer time now.
hahaha he's like "why would he walk up that incline? it's so difficult"
he went there for the same reason that you did, to take pictures of the landscape.. and that incline didn't look like much of a deal tbh.
Ah it was Kate Bush frolicing
😅
he went up there for the views probably
For an amateur photographer out taking photos of the early morning sunrise the quality of his "alien photo" is conveniently horrible, fog or no. 🤷♂️🖖
I don't know why you think it unlikely he would want to take the high path, considering 13:14 "Spencer was looking for some interesting areas to take photos"
And if the domed shaped silver onbject that he saw was a rock 18:59, then what kind of rock would then fly off at a vast rate of knots?

I know the exact spot where Alan Godfrey was abducted...I'll send you a PM on Instagram.. we'll sort something out..👍👍
Cheers DM! The Alan Godfrey story, as with many other stories like his, always fascinates me. I think we definately need to get over to Tod and do the story 👍
