Scream 7 Opening Scene - Sidney Vs Alternative

Scream is all about the opening Scenes when it comes to the Scream Franchise. each Scream Movie uses the opening scene to set up and set the tone and direction of the film going forward. Scream could go the Ghostface vs Sidney route straight from the jump and have that as the opening scene.

Sidney Prescott in the opening scene would be more iconic than the Drew Barrymore one. We would have an early Ghostface reveal after she kills him or her.

I like the idea 💡 of Sid setting traps and killing ghost face in the opening especially if they go the cult way 🤔🐾💜👍

Opening scene being either stu’s cult member targeting her , she kills him then later on all of his cult members come for her which will then lead to stu coming out
OR
Sidney killing stu in the opening which then causes his cult members to attack her throughout the film.
Maybe both are too extreme 😆

The reason why the opening for Scream 6 didn’t work for me is because it didn’t add anything to the story. The opening sequence was different by having the killer revealed early, but that’s it. He was quickly killed off, and then the plot played off like a regular scream movie. It would’ve been better if the writers expanded on it by showing the killers' POV and having Jason with the friends group while the audience knows he’s the killer.

I kinda want it to go back to the past and have rumors out that Sidney is like her mom cheating on her husband and someone believes the rumors and don’t like it . Someone in Stu’s cult or Stu himself could be the one getting the rumor out there .

I hope maybe in the opening they kill the babysitter in the beginning and then Sidney comes and kills the ghostface. Good moment of suspense of the babysitter taking care of the children while ghostface targets them

4:22 that sounds too much like Halloween. It’s been done. Oops…4:46 you said it.
What if Syds open death scene was the shock value we needed and at the end she returns for that finale. And how old would her kids be? Perhaps they should kill Kirby. Since Kirby was in the last movie, and now she’s the nanny. Who else would Syd trust more than who else went through the trauma. The kids are left to witness the murder, and now they are traumatised. We skip ten years later and her kids are who kill her and their father. Gale covers her last story the trial of the kids and then the verdict.
