jeskai control at 45:32 can evoke subtlety and counter evoke trigger with consign to memory. His next turn could swing with phlegh and subtlety for 12 damage and main phase 2 cast phlegh from hand and escape phlegh for 6 more damage.
At the 43:46 mark couldn’t the phlage target the opponent since the one ring didn’t resolve the previous turn? Would have counted for the win due to turns
I think it would have only brought him to 2. The 3 from the initial hit, then another 3 from tef bounce and recast at the end.
Was there an extra copy of phlage in hand on 46:17? Cause what I was thinking was
Cast phlage target the opp on 43:16 down to 17-12
Turn 2 escape phlage target opp 14-12
Turn 4, phlage attacks 9 damage, 5-12. Play mountain play discharge targeting phlage but no energy spent, play phlage in hand 3-12 , escape phlage 0-12
did not get how he used map exp card, when dap sphere was at table-1 mana from land
G1 devourer should have exiled the tef correct? Relevant cuz of Phlage
Good catch! Missed that until the rewatch.
Was thinking the same thing
Weren’t the Kozilek commands uncounterable during turns from cavern?
No - Cavern only makes creature spells Uncounterable.
at about the 27 minute mark, when legend rule killed one of the emrakul's, wouldn't that happen as a state based effect while the "take control of all creatures" trigger is on the stack? so he should have lost both emrakul (due to legend and his text) then gotten control of the opponent's creature?
No, it does Not Work Like that.
Gaining Control of the creatures is a cast trigger, so it resolves before the emrakul itself resolves.
This means that he gains Control of Phlage, then emrakul resolves, Legend Rules itself and then the trigger to sacrifice all other creatures happens, meaning he loses both emrakuls.
They played it correctly
The one ring is a joke
perfectly represents the disgust wizard has become as company. Shitting on the game for corporate greed. The ring is the most shameful card ever printed
The one ring is ridiculous
It's fine with bowmasters and decks that win turn 3 floating around
