    I just got my 212 a few days ago. I am proceeding to install it onto my Coleman ct100u. Your setup is the best I've seen so far after removing the governor ( pain in the ass). No crap in the way just make your subtle adjustments, and you're hauling ass in no time!

    Great presentation! Just what I needed to know after I removed the governor.

    This is a really nice setup. There's nothing else to buy. And 2 throttle return springs are better than one.

    Is it important to make another hole for the barrel nut? Because I can just install the barrel nut from the original hole.

    • @KartArt
      @KartArt  6 лет назад

      You don't have to use another hole but I found it works the best that way. The most important thing is that it rotates easily and doesn't bind at all.

    Do you need to remove the governor to do the setup? I dont want to remove the governor but i want to take the rod my engine has and just remove it and use that to make the new linkage

    • @KartArt
      @KartArt  6 лет назад

      Juan Lopez yes removing the governor is necessary to do this throttle setup. Always best to completely remove the governor. Dont leave any of that garbage in the engine. The glvernor rod can actually hit the crank if left in the engine

      Kart Art ,, my pedal moves the throttle cable and all but it doesn’t move the carburetor , nothing is attached to it and i see a little hole and nothing is attached, what is it missing, and i can move the carburetor manually and it recoils and all

    • @KartArt
      @KartArt  6 лет назад

      Juan Lopez watch the video again and you will see me bending a rod that attaches the arm to the carb. Without it the carb wont actually move and accelerate the kart

    If you just remove the governor gear on the crank you really don't need to remove the rest of the governor parts and it saves time not having to fabric parts.

    BYPASSING the Governor! Not removing it.
    __FYI: You DO NOT need to remove the governor after the control arm (the long metal arm where he got the long spring from) is disconnected. It will spin freely inside of the crankcase. If you want to open the crankcase and remove it, go ahead but don't let anybody tell you its necessary.
    __Note that if you do leave the governor in, the control arm (long metal arm where he got the long spring from) will still move since the tab inside of the crankcase will still push it. Your governor is still working; its just not applying force on the carburetor (since you removed the long spring).
    __If anything, remove the governor control arm from the top and save it.

    • @KartArt
      @KartArt  4 года назад +1

      Honestly i prefer removing it just in case. Besides the stock predator is just begging to be opened up for a new cam anyways
