You know what I didn't see this movie in the 80s. i wasn't born during those times. My dad got me to watch this in the 2000s when I was 5 years old. But when i first saw this movie it was like love at first sight. I never stopped watching this movie. So hilarious and so fun to watch. I haven't seen this movie ever since when I got older (when I left Middle School). But now as 21 year old young man i still love watching this movie. I haven't forgotten it and i never will!!!☺
my favorite part was when Rizzo was telling Fozzie he works for his kids and Momma. Then Fozzie says they don't have money either and Rizzo says, "Aint my table" then Fozzie looks at the camera and says, "What a rat!"
I love their hangy noses. They're so cute! I had to show this to my son, as he has a hangy nosed toy mouse with whom he has quite a friendship...he loved it!
My favorites are this song, the Muppet Babies song, and the wedding song too, where we can all see everyone from sesame street, and uncle matt from fraggle rock too

Floyd did make mention of that earlier in the movie. When Rizzo asked "what will you have?" he responded with "the number for the board of health". The Electric Mayhem had both sick beats and sick stomachs apparently.
Two Zeroes are eggs (because a "goose egg" means 0) Trampoline is toast (because it jumps out of the toaster) Joan of Arc is fries (a French person, fried)
Would like to know how they did with the rat butter-skating on the hotplate. Consindering the butter under his feet melting like in the pan it must have been a hotplate so it couldn't have been that they operated the thing from within the hotplate.
I was wondering that too, but if you look when you first see him skating the butter under his feet isn't melting. I'm guessing that in that shot he's being controlled from underneath the hotplate by a magnet or something. It's only when the camera angle changes that you can see it melting and you also can't see the top of the puppet, so for that shot he's being controlled from above.
it's two different shots. on the second, when you see the butter melting, he's cropped off on the top, so probably is being hold there. seems at the turn on the left side ( 0:43 - 0:44 ) , that there is some stick they hold from above. it's more stiff than the shot before. the first, with just fake butter on its feet (and some little smoke to give an effect), the movement seems like the puppet is hanging on fine strings.

Two over easy eggs, on a piece of toast with a side of fries. That's what she says, but it looks like collard greens of some sort instead of fries in the actual shot.
I know it's a children's movie and yes it's funny but who the hell would eat at a restaurant with rodents as Cooks I'll tell you one person who's not eating there and that's me
When I heard about a local restaurant being closed due to a rat infestation, this is exactly how I pictured it.
😂
Same thing in Ratatouille.
Lol
So these we're the rats cooking before Ratatouille.
Similar to Ratatouille from Disney Pixar.
What if this scene inspired Ratatouille just like it did with the Muppet Babies
Also kind of like the Disney movie Ratatouille
OK I didn’t realize that before because I didn’t care.
I wish

THE BEST PART OF THE MOVIE
Kristy Barnhart-Moniger
I agree
It's nothing compared to the ending.
Rizzo was always one of my favorite Muppets.
I cannot prove it, but I'm pretty sure this scene was the inspiration for the movie 'Ratatouille'.
They are also cousin Remy and Rizzo
More than tails and cream could have relate Nick and Judy.
my favorite part was when Rizzo was telling Fozzie he works for his kids and Momma. Then Fozzie says they don't have money either and Rizzo says, "Aint my table" then Fozzie looks at the camera and says, "What a rat!"
Rizzo’s got some serious rythym!
I love their hangy noses. They're so cute! I had to show this to my son, as he has a hangy nosed toy mouse with whom he has quite a friendship...he loved it!
Fun fact
The location of Pete’s luncheonette is now a McDonald’s restaurant
So it really is a restaurant now. It's like they predicted the future, huh?
A movie with a rat infected restaurant is NOW a McDonald's. I guess that explains an AWFUL lot! 🤨
Their just puppets
THIS hits !! period they’re so talented 😩
They're violating so many health codes 🤣😂😆
In real life that would happen, same thing would happen in Ratatouille.
I've always loved this scene. 😊😊😊😊
Muppets Take Manhattan is a classic. The Muppet movie that introduced Rizzo the Rat to the Muppet Universe.
Well he was introduced in the original muppet show but gained popularity in this movie

Gordon Ramsey would have a cardiac arrest if he saw this rat infested kitchen! I'm surprised Pete didn't hire the Swedish Chef...
Well, he was in Ohio.
I loved this song as a kid!
A rat has fallen into the flour in Pete's restaurant, and you're smiling.
My friends like this song because they know how to scat in jazz music.
Most creative scene in the movie, or at least the most original one.
I occasionally sing this groovy tune, i found myself whistling it walking up the stairs
Phenomenal these rat scenes. I love the one in muppet Christmas carol too.

I still have no idea how they do those full-body Muppet shots. Probably never will, because I want to keep the magic.

That's gotta be some kind of health code violation.
Not in New York City

This is ratatouille before ratatouille
To this day I still have no idea what "Two Zeroes on a Trampoline with a Side of Joan of Arcs" actually is!
I think it's 2 pancakes w/ an egg over easy and bacon.
steak fries, lol
Joan of Arc was a French women who was set on fires, or a “French Fry”
Two Zeroes are eggs (because a "goose egg" means 0)
Trampoline is toast (because it jumps out of the toaster)
Joan of Arc is fries (a French person, fried)
Actually, It's A Cheeseburger Platter With French Fries.
love the way the pancake lands on rizzo's face 1:16
Now if they had an animatronic show scene of this installed in PizzaRizzo maybe it would of been more popular

Practical effects are so much better than CGI. Kids today don't know what they're missing. Granted, I'm sure they don't give a shit. But...
having rats working in the kitchen is even worse than them working in the dining area.
