Ashley is magnetic. I can feel her passion. Chills! 🔥🔥🔥
She gets paid to be head of th dancers but to also be the background to Beyonce. That means she can't outshine her boss and that goes for any dancers. She also has to keep that fire energy for stage and bigger platform. I have never felt she is an aggressive dancer and most poc are extremely aggressive and I think that's what makes her so unique. She's feminine, gentle, soft, sexy in her own right, and lax. She doesn't have to break the ground with every step. Most people are so used to looking at Beyonce that they don't see how simple the steps are bc u are watching big hair, clothing, shoes, flowing hair, her husband, the lights, listening to the crowd. U are distracted. She did a great job.

Thank you for pointing this out!! A lot of non-dancers don't seem to understand. Everyone is NOT supposed to look alike when they dance! Every dancer brings their own flavor to any dance piece. It's supposed to be that way.

It takes a special hater to come to a video about her Dance captain Ashley and question Bey's ability to pick her . If she couldn't dance , she wouldn't have been chosen . Mentioning another dancers name even as inquiry when she's clearly captain and has been since 2009 is low key disrespectful . For the record in 2019 Ashley is still captain and Kimmie is co captain just like Bey has it for years 😌 there's plenty of new dancers so there could be change but until then put some respect on her name

I always thought that short, skinny Latina-looking girl from back in the day was Bey’s best backup dancer. You know. The one that was in Omarion’s “Touch” video. She danced with Bey in the “Get Me Bodied” and “Greenlight” videos too. She’s the only chic I’ve ever seen who could dance next to Bey and outshine her. I think she and Bey May have had bad blood though. Danielle Polanco. That’s her name.
She's a great dancer. She was also in the check on it video. And she made an appearance with Omerion on the Millennium tour for touch......I think that's where she blew up because everybody was talking about that video.

I think she’s the dance captain because she has a likeable personality and can pick up the dance steps fairly quickly. However, even though she can do the dances, she does not do them well enough or soulfully enough to take the attention off Bey. I think that’s why she’s been around so long. Danielle Polanco is the only backup dancer I’ve ever seen who could dance next to Bey and outshine her. That’s why Danielle’s ass got the boot. Lol
