To be honest I'm not really into melodic/gothic death metal, and I can find the clean singing on this album to be very cheesy sometimes, but still somehow this album really gets to me. Not sure why but this album really has some great moments even when they are kinda cheesy.

The most disappointing thing in the world is when the intro is downright epic, then the vocals kick in and fuck everything up. If you sound like a teen going through puberty with a bad nasal problem, stay the fuck away from metal.
Yes, first song isnt much good. Its "overproduced" and clean male vocals "fight" with other sounds. But in next songs its better and better. I like the female singer, she reminds me sometimes Tori Amos (Only for One Day) :)

Agreed, the vocals are pretty terrible. But I will have to take a deep breath and overlook them given the epic instrumental.

It is a kind of metal style, if you do not like it you are free to listen something else. But until you cant do better you should just shut up.
