I'm confused. I went through this puzzle on hard difficulty and chose the man token at the end and it worked. Didn't think there was another option as the answer seemed obvious to me. So both the serpent and the man work? I wonder if other options work as well, i sort of wish i had tried them all. I wonder if this choice affects the ending you get at the end of the game. I'm not even halfway into the game yet
I figured that you pass judgment on any of them. Do you judge the beast that has come to bring doom. Do you judge the man who failed to slay him and got his loved ones killed, or the women who could not defend herself from evil. It's a vary psychological question. I feel like it involves James because the disease killed his wife, or James killed his wife because of the disease or did Mary die because she did not take care of herself to obtain the disease. The hardest thing is there is no right or wrong just prospective.
I played the OG, so much...i even did the impossible which is getting the Green Hyper Spray www.deviantart.com/zeckos/art/Silent-Hill-2-Perfect-10-Star-Rank-325248194
@@LovingJill !!!!! SPOILERS AHEAD !!!!! (99.9% sure I'm right so I'll flag this as a spoiler for other ppl) OG has 3 major endings. 3 coins, 3 choices, 3 endings. Who's fault it is? Woman coin (Mary) = "Maria" ending It was Mary's fault, now that she's dead you can live your life with your mistress Man coin (James) = "In water" ending It was James fault. He needs to be punished (aka die) Snake coin (Disease) = "Leave" ending It was Mary's disease fault. James should make peace with it and release himself from guilt and go on with his life The fact that I didn't even second guess my choice and thought it was "obvious" sent shivers down my spine. ALL endings are canon, it's really just what you project into the story from your own personality and struggles that shapes the storyline. It's a very emotionally intelligent addition.
agreed. The puzzle first line mentions a sword (blade), but OP moves the gravestone first? edit: carefully reading the puzzle again, it does make sense (for the position of the sword). I missed one little word ("from") that makes a difference. I'm bad at english.
Many thanks. Although I wish I chose the Man coin instead of the Snake. I feel he is to blame for letting the Woman die in this parable. Oh James...
Muito obrigado pela sua ajuda ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️🇧🇷🇧🇷

Apparently you can place either Man, Snake, or Woman and still counts as correct. Not sure if this affects the ending tho.
@@LovingJill it has to, and it makes tons of sense that it would IMO.
Have you played the OG? Don't want to spoil anything if you're a newcomer!

so rather than just showing the solution, you mind to explain why it work like that? esp the second one
