I can shorten that entire comparison to to three letters, MMU. If a device has one it is a microprocessor. If it doesn’t it is a microcontroller. An MMU is a hard requirement to run an OS. Nothing else on that list is as hard a differentiator as the change in programming methods brought about between bare silicon versus user land.
