I came late to the party but... these are not true bypass. Even hitting the bypass button the unit is still coloring the sound, for a true test the AD DA signal should be shut off completely versus the unit receiving the signal. So, its good vs good in these comparisons.

I don't know what you're listening on but the difference is huge. Maybe you should leave mastering to the professionals.
