I just finished watching 'Round Midnight and I was so taken with Lonette's amazing singing. Such an interesting and compelling movie and should be seen by all serious jazz fans.
This is from the film Round Midnight 1986. i recall it made a huge impression on me at the time walking around singing this song for days. Thank you Sergio for posting it, its a treasure
This woman hypnotized me in Sparkle and other movies. Lonette has the voice that blends well with jazz and soft soulful songs. She's beautiful and damn she's talented.
She should have been way more famous. A great husky voice, very alluring. I saw her in Lady Day at the Emerson Bar and Grill. The way she lays on that last note is special.
Beautiful piece. Not only was it performed well, both Dexter and Lonette had a definite connection / chemistry on stage. I think they're actually supposed to be really good friends.
Yes, this is from the movie Round Midnight, as one can see Herbie Hancock on piano and Ron Carter on bass. If anyone hasn't seen the film yet I'd highly recommend seeing it, maybe the best jazz movie ever made.

This is a fantastic 🎥 film, fantastic soundtrack.
I could watch this forever. Lonette McKee has my favorite husky voice.
Beautiful song, beautiful film and Dexter is the man !

I can't get enough of this woman's voice.
Lonette i really apologize for not paying close attention in the movies you've done that displayed your gorgeous voice.
Bravisimo!

una delle versioni più belle che io abbia mai sentito, da brividi. Lonette immensa.
Electrifying...the voice *and* the beautiful singer.
A true STAR!♥️

Undoubtedly the best jazz film ever.
Pure awesomeness.
The movie was so unhollywood. It had after all a French Director .
Half of something (sic)? She's twice of everything... Great performance.
Uau!
Real Midnight Mean it.
"finding other world Kiss me twice then one more" wow
Was this a scene cut from Dexter's movie "'Round Midnight"? Same Paris band is on stage...
