I had verizon which is now AOL. Email stopped working (probably after an ios update) on all my devices. The solution for me was: I went into each email account’s settings, under “advanced” I found a setting for “authentication”. I changed that to “password” , back up a couple screens and click on “done”. Magic… worked

Please help!! This did not work for me… I deleted my yahoo inbox from my iPhone as it wasn’t downloading messages from the server. I’ve gone to add account to put it back on but once I select yahoo and put in my login details, it goes to the page with the swipe right buttons for calendar/mail/contacts/reminders/and notes. Then goes back to ‘select account’ It doesn’t give me the option to hit save. I’m tearing my hair out! 😫

Thank you so much! You helped me to fix the problem, actually I just had changed my gmail password and it wanted me to input the new password on my iphone exactly where you directed to delete the gmail ....so I simply input my new password and it worked !!

If you want to turn of Wi-Fi you must turn it off from settings, not from the Control Panel. As you can see in the video, she did *turned off* from Control Panel menu but still using the Wi-Fi. Why? I don't know man but it is what it is. Trust me test it

Hi Momina! If the Mail app isn’t working, try to ensure your email settings are correct. You can also try removing and re-adding your email account in the app.
I did change password and have gmail already entered email and password and when I hit the switch to turn mail on it says "Gmail" is already added this gmail account has been added to your account but not activated. please activate the account in settings" SO I go to settings the mail icon is now switched off and when I switch it on it says in order to enable syncing Mail, you must log into google and enable it with google first" problem is IDK how to do that =(
Unfortunately none of this worked. I get past the username/password and its says: "Google does not recognise this device". Its a new Iphone and installing gmail on it for the first time. Any tips appreciated, please?!
