Looking excellent mate! With the vibrancy of those screens you may not even need external ambient lighting to achieve the same effect we did. On my LCD screens I lose the contrast if I pump up the brightness high enough to achieve an ambient lighting effect.
This is excellent Karl. Really motivated me to go triples. Even with my single screen thinking of going the black curtain option. Best vid I’ve seen for ages, great content.

have you every looked at "race beyond matter" channel it looks like hes sitting in a real car .he went ballz deep into the immersion and his setup is the best i have seen
Looks awesome man!!! Great job! You should look into the motion lighting that Boosted media did. Can't imagine the immersion with the roof lining being that close! Keep up the content been here from the beginning!
This is insanely cool. Reminding me of Boosted Media's set up. With such a sweet set up you should post some full races with a gopro so that we can see a proper race as if we were there.
Karl I’m loving the booth idea, I think you should add the curtain in the rear. I’ll be replicating this as best I can in the coming weeks. I appreciate the inspiration, please keep up the great work!
Do you have any issues with eye strain? My dad has a 70-something inch oled tv, and he said it kinda hurt his eyes a bit when watching at night since the colors are just so bright and vibrant. He ended up buying some backlighting which fixed it. One thing that would be super cool is if you put a blue light in the booth, so when you're racing at night (in-game time), you can turn on a blue light like you would if you were in a real race car! I've said this on both videos already, but the setup just looks so amazing. You can tell that you're actually turning your head to look at your apexes which is super cool. Hopefully someday I can afford to build something like this. For now my playseat challenge and ultrawide monitor will have to do. Take care Karl!
I have my center monitor in the corner, all 3 monitors wall mounted, all the cables, PC in the corner, front and bass speakers, only 2 cable leave the rig, power cable and USB hub. I stapled a thin black weed stopper to the walls, stretched it to left and right over the monitors, leaving a few cm space for airflow with transparent plastic filament also tucked to the wall. Quickly done for less than 20€, if you have a decent electric stapler. A racing booth is a must. But 3x55" at more than 3000€ that's crazy.
Karl is 100% the best SIM racing RUclipsr , love your content man and this booth is insane very jealous , any chance of a give away ? Lol keep up the good work man
Hey Karl quick question. I have a DOF H3 want to go triples been in VR for ever. Put a 34in ultrawide attached to it love it now want 2 more. Questiin is right now the screen moves with the rig. If i go triples is the feeling of motion moving without the screens a deal breaker cant wrap my head around it. Please let me know. Thanks bud !!!
Just a thought on enclosing the back of the "booth". Yes, I agree you might get a bit warm if you used some sort of drop sheet. But, what if you used some windbreak or shade cloth material? It allows airflow through it but certainly cuts down the light leakage. Plus, a small fan placed externally at the front with a little bit of tubing directing the blown air into the "booth". That might help with any heat issues as the air would flow out the back through the shade cloth + add a little more realism.
You got me Karl! Ordering 3 LG C1s and stands. 1440p 120 will have to do or I’ll try 4k60 on my 3090 until the 4090 comes out. Love the SimRacing booth going to do something similar.
