Pepperbox was on my list to visit but I looked at that road and drove on past. Glad I did now and that you managed to get out! Well done. Yeah, once the tyres are 'caked' they are done.
Absolutely stunning seeing the ponies and deer. There's something magical about the forest. I'm loving your little van adventure. Daddy Taylor is a mind of info. 💚
Kitty litter, straw or tall grass under the tire to give it a grip might help in future. We’ve used sticks or small wood. Jeeps can use their own winch to pull themselves out in the right circumstance, can your van handle a winch attachment? As usual, editing is great Josh
I don’t remember ever seeing so much water in the New Forest. The colours are lovely though and you could see Andy was in his element. Thank you for sharing. Roll on part 3.
Hi guys my dad was in the royal engineers in the war and a clever little trick they used was 4 bits of wood the same width as the tyre he had two ropes attached each end of the wood we used to tow a caravan so used to get wheel slip in farmers fields so out came his wooden strips and put the rope each side of the wheel and passed it each side going through. The holes in the wheels and tying it tight so the. Wood gripped the outside of each tyres and we never got stuck a bit like snow chains in a way I remember once we were in a farm near Hope Cove and the farmer saw dad adding his wood and Dudley the farmer said old army trick AHH !! He said I was out fighting Rommel's lot Vic We used that for the sand a few times he said he had an old iron wheeled tractor before tyres had metal plates all round the edge same as the early tanks get out of anything !!
Wow, that's an amazing story, and that's really great advice I can see how that would work, I'll have to make up a couple of those, but hopefully there won't be a next time 🤞
