This actually put me into perspective of how absolutely evil the character Peter Griffin is, dido most of the family. Like if the show didn’t play the family’s actions as comedic it would be terrifying.
Imagine: Chris is driving after he just got his driver's license and he ends up in a really bad wreak that puts him into a deep coma to the point where he is on the brink of death. As he is in this coma, he is forced to see all the bad thing that his family has done and after this, he eventually sucumbs and dies thus ending the character of Chris.
And here’s the story: it starts with a corrupted family guy intro. The family seems happy except for Chris, he woke up scared/nervous. He feels paranoid about his family, which falls him into schizophrenia and depression. It cuts to the family inviting the neighborhood for a Christmas party. Until, every person he sees remembers each and one of their kills. He started hallucinating that everyone was brutally mudered, after the party he was completely shocked and keeps having crazy thoughts. It cuts to tomorrow where Chris had school. When he went to school, he had the same exact hallucinations. This lead him going beyond psychopathic and got a hold of a knife from lunch. Going absolutely berserk. Killing anyone he sees. He then walked home where he killed his family. After he finally got it together, he realized how much damage he had done leading him to suicide.
chris becomes self aware and realizes and is forced to come to terms with the fact that his family is just a bunch of despicable people, and that his world is filled with violence but no one can die, because of this he becomes a shut it and spirals deeper and deeper into depression, paranoia and insanity
Chris realizes his entire world is just a cruel cartoon done for cheap laughs and entertainment, and no matter how happy or gruesome their lives become, it'll never matter or end and be retconned as if nothing happened next week, for the next episode, only to start all over again.

Chris is faced with his world, one in which death does not exist, but violence becomes increasingly normalized. No words escape his lips as he sees family members doing unspeakable things to each other out of boredom. When death is not a factor, what is left for us to do?

Chris finally sees the sheer depravity and evil his family commits on a daily basis, only for it to all return to normal the next day. Sure there were no physical consequences, but the fact that they just never stopped and even stopped caring is horrifying in itself
Honestly, violence in this show never phased me. Maybe because it happens at least 5 times every episode, but the only time violence ever got to me in this show was when Peter killed Quagmire's cats. But anyways, when it's edited in this context, it actually impacts me a little. Crazy how much editing can do.
The only time violence in Family Guy has got to me has to be the episode where Meg and Chris knock Stewie unconscious down a flight of stairs and the entire episode is just this baby with a huge bloody gash and his brains are hanging out, just ugh. And Lois runs him over with her car, wtf.

Edit: not as in a “demonic ritual” type of way, more like Peter has set himself up as a leader, and as such the rest of the family must worship him and obey him, this influence is spread to a few people around the city as well, including Quagmire, Cleveland and Joe. In this idea. Peter starts off as a self centred narcissist who abuses his wife and scares his children into submission, eventually his authoritative presence is ingrained into the family, and select few that Peter goes off the deep end, doing literally anything he wants, if he gets cut off in traffic he just kills the driver and has his cop friend (who it’s revealed he crippled as an April fools joke) get rid of it, but it plays out like a standard family guy episode, with cutaways and such. If he wants a woman, he tells quagmire to seduce her and then “give” her to Peter, again, playing out like a standard episode. If peter wants something like a gun or a stolen car he makes Cleveland buy it or steal it for him. Eventually it’s revealed that the reason the family obey him is because he’s been drugging their food, and with Chris’s attempt to lose weight he eats less, eventually he sobers up and realises that Brian isn’t a talking dog but an old stuffed toy with a voice box, stewie is a neglected baby, with a small body and a relatively big head, Meg is scarred by cigarette burns and the other wounds Peter inflicts on her, Lois is surprisingly the same, albeit she ignores anything not related to Peter. It ends with chris running from home and hiding at Herbert’s house, who is actually a retired physician, who’s not trying to molest Chris but document the abuse he’s suffered as to build a court case, Peter finds and kills Herbert and then Chris, and Peter gets arrested because after a few minutes he wants Chris to return home, which Peter tries to make him do by beating his dead son, the family is split up, Lois is arrested for child abuse, Joe is arrested but kills himself to prior to sentencing, quagmire is found dead in his house from a murder by one of his “exes”, the kids are split up and sent into foster care.

Normally, the facial expressions are pretty flat, even Chris cutting in seemed not very fazed. Something about Cleveland’s face showing so much more emotion than the rest is very off-putting, he might’ve been the most human in the entire series and Peter just kills him in cold blood as if he were an enemy instead of his friend that stuck by him since the 70’s

I didn't feel fear, but rather a deep sense of melancholy and discomfort. The music being a strangely melancholic and beautiful choir playing along with the video in low quality gives a feeling of strangeness. The violent scenes taken out of context together with Chris's reactions for milliseconds makes everything much more terrifying and bizarre, is no longer a comedy series, but something depraved and brutally melancholy. sitting in the precipice of purgatory, chris realizes his entire life has been nothing but a fabricated reality created by higher beings and that every episode in family guy were actual events that transpired. he has witnessed the most grotesque things like his family members being mutilated over and over and hallucigenic trips looped again and again. everything slowly loses meaning as chris is forced to react to every single second of this hell over and over again, until he breaks and kills himself, only to find himself right back in this tormented seat to watch the events transpire again. he loses his voice as a result of screaming for what is percieved to be eternity. nothing he does can escape from this reality. he gouges his eyes out, pierces his eardrums with his fingers, and even devours portions of his body out of madness, but to no avail, he soon wakes to only realize that the entire eternity he spent in hell was nothing but another side gag joke in the latest episode of the show.
As we can see Cris has become sentient and has regained his memory after it has been reset every single day and he is now horrified by his existence and is now come to realization on how dark his world truly is and what it means to be a human. He comes to realize his world does not only welcome death and violence, but it seems to also have no real consequences because he appears in his bed the next day with his memories of the previous death. He is now afraid and scared by his existence as we see him try to tell his family, but they do not listen to Chris as he sees them sitting on the couch. The world is full of cruel and awful people and yet he now sees that his family is now distant to him as Chris constantly tries to set them free and tries to convey the loneliness and emptiness the world they live in is, The family just tells Chris to move on and soon fades away as Chris notices the world behind him soon fades away and Chris accept his death knowing full well he will wake up the next day.
This sounds like it would play at the end of the world like just before the tv station went off the air like in gremlins 2 like you just see the light at the end of tunnel fading as this plays somewhere in the background...
This is actually a good analog horror idea: Chris remembers every throwaway gag death and is deeply disturbed as he knows everyone in the town should be long dead but they're not

All you need is some random interviews that'll be relavent later, public domain stock footage, a date set in the early 70s or early 2000s (when VHS was a popular format), ominous missing persons posters, some social or religious commentary, warped or melancholy songs that trigger nostalgia, infrasound (something we can't hear but feel, that causes us to feel sick or even pass out.) sprinkle a few good or just unpredictable jumpscares (preferably ones with stretched out, probably smiling faces), add some monsters that are either trying to pretend to be human, demons, just deadly animals, or aliens, or straight up the moon, and boom Analog Horror

The way Cleveland's face distorts in sheer pain is genuinely upsetting. It might be the poor quality that helps obscure his facial expression.
Normally, the facial expressions are pretty flat, even Chris cutting in seemed not very fazed. Something about Cleveland’s face showing so much more emotion than the rest is very off-putting, he might’ve been the most human in the entire series and Peter just kills him in cold blood as if he were an enemy instead of his friend that stuck by him since the 70’s

I hadn't realized until now how much I want a Family Guy horror game.
I didn't feel fear, but rather a deep sense of melancholy and discomfort. The music being a strangely melancholic and beautiful choir playing along with the video in low quality gives a feeling of strangeness. The violent scenes taken out of context together with Chris's reactions for milliseconds makes everything much more terrifying and bizarre, is no longer a comedy series, but something depraved and brutally melancholy. That video really got me down, and I liked that. Congratulations!🎉

sitting in the precipice of purgatory, chris realizes his entire life has been nothing but a fabricated reality created by higher beings and that every episode in family guy were actual events that transpired. he has witnessed the most grotesque things like his family members being mutilated over and over and hallucigenic trips looped again and again. everything slowly loses meaning as chris is forced to react to every single second of this hell over and over again, until he breaks and kills himself, only to find himself right back in this tormented seat to watch the events transpire again.
he loses his voice as a result of screaming for what is percieved to be eternity. nothing he does can escape from this reality. he gouges his eyes out, pierces his eardrums with his fingers, and even devours portions of his body out of madness, but to no avail, he soon wakes to only realize that the entire eternity he spent in hell was nothing but another side gag joke in the latest episode of the show.
THE LORE.
As we can see Cris has become sentient and has regained his memory after it has been reset every single day and he is now horrified by his existence and is now come to realization on how dark his world truly is and what it means to be a human.
He comes to realize his world does not only welcome death and violence, but it seems to also have no real consequences because he appears in his bed the next day with his memories of the previous death. He is now afraid and scared by his existence as we see him try to tell his family, but they do not listen to Chris as he sees them sitting on the couch.
The world is full of cruel and awful people and yet he now sees that his family is now distant to him as Chris constantly tries to set them free and tries to convey the loneliness and emptiness the world they live in is, The family just tells Chris to move on and soon fades away as Chris notices the world behind him soon fades away and Chris accept his death knowing full well he will wake up the next day.
