    Absolutely legend. This worker a charm.
    Been cold in Sydney so my can started spitting on my second coat so had to sand the spots away. Heated it up and flowed a charm after that.

    Is an adhesion promoter really necessary? I have to repair my bumper and will be using plastic filler then plastic primer? I'll also be spraying clear out of a can and don't have thinner in a can, is this necessary too? I think that if I do the whole bumper then blending clear shouldn't be too much of a hassle.. thanks james

    So once i do a few coats of paint after drying i dont need to sand the "orange peal effect"? Or theres no orange peal effect?

    I have a 2008 milano red car and from what ive heard red fades. Its been kept outside for half its life, I'm scared the car might have faded a little but slightly noticable if i get a fresh spray on the bumper.
    Do i need to do anything to the custom paint cans to make the paint mixer perfect to match my car?
    thanks!

    Would it be better to use 2K clear instead of the 1K?

    • @customspraymods
      @customspraymods  9 лет назад +1

      if price is not an issue. And you have a dust free environment. With the correct safety mask yes go 2k.

    Great repair. I used 1K clear on my motorbike panels and regret it every single day, the orange peel is horrendous, it's my own fault though knowing i used cheap spray gun and cheap product, also wind didn't help.

    • @customspraymods
      @customspraymods  9 лет назад +1

      try sand it and buff it.

    • @dinxsy8069
      @dinxsy8069 9 лет назад

      customspraymods Won't be able to sand it as the nose fairing has some major close gaps, i'm going to try remove it with thinners as the basecoat is 2k.

    oh yeah I forgot to mention -- I went to supercheap auto (NZ version) and they had 3 versions of my paint code.. with a different name for it. The guy refused to cos he didn't want to give me the wrong code so instead I just went to Repco and got a sweet deal with some unmatched paint. Just some basic paint which was matched up by eye but I painted it on to test and its a shade lighter! I'm assuming having grey primer will make it darker? I also have some black pearl which I could use. But next time I will grow balls and go to a pro paint shop. Oh yeah... I'm gonna get a body kit too so then when money's sweet the pro paint job will be done on that attached to the car...
